i was going to open and deposit at a reputable book using my personel checking account to take advantage of the bigger bonus. you give them your bank account # and routing #, that i understand. but they also want my social security #. is this routine? safe? any one of you deposit this way before?

sounds like too much information to me. there are VERY few people i would trust with that information, and an offshore book is not one of them.

dee - If your doing a e-check deposit directly into a sportsbook account they do need to verify that you are the account holder of the checking account with your bank as anyone can steal one of your checks and call them up.
I would only furnish the last four digits of my SSN to them or better yet call your bank and make arraingements for the book to call them and verify that it is your account and that you gave your permission for the check transaction.
It's pretty simple to do if you have a decent bank and can make the arraingments with the Operations Officer or her assistants at your bank.

dee-

find another way to post up....i had another gambling site basically holding me hostage and requiring a call when i cash out. they told me that the cash out would run smoother and not require a call if i became a "preferred player"...in order to do that i have to give them a bank acct, ss#, driver's license #, and credit card#...i told them no effin way and will cashout either less than 2500 at a time (since that seems like the magic number) or just call in when i want more out...if the play there wasn't so juicy i would play someplace else....bastards!!!

Firepay is basicallay the same procedure.
But you do not have to give as much personal
info. They require you to verify your bank
account. They will send a small deposit to
your account and you in turn will verify that
amount back to them via internet or email.
Now your account is verified and you can
deposit into your stores account. Some books
do the same thing without using firepay. I have used both and have no problems as of yet.
Be assured it is a new technology maybe problems in the future. But also be assured if
someone defrauds your bank account with a bad
check the bank is responsible not you. Thats the law.

im already paranoid about this offshore stuff and the government finding out what im doing. im just a small time player for fun. the book was offering 50% cash on e deposit (500.max) and 20% on other deposits. i just figured if i lose 750. on a 500. deposit i was getting my moneys worth. but that really is odd the big difference in bonus based on deposit method. i guess i'll keep my social security # to myself and settle for a smaller bonus. thanks fellow players for your knowledge.

First things first, if the book is giving 50%
bonus I would be concerned. Do some homework
and find reputable books. Pinnacle, WWTS,
BoDog, VIP, Olympic and so many more. Some of
these reputable and reliable books also accept
echecks and firepay. Make sure you will get
paid if you win. Doesn't matter what type of
bettor you are..small or medium or large. That
is the most important, naturally.

Careful there stacilu---the book dee is referring to is a paid advertiser here. dee is referring to Sportbet or one of the Sportbet affiliates

Dee,

It does SOUND like you are referring to us, so I will chime in. If it is www.sportbet.com or any of our sister books, and you are processing your echeck deposit over the phone, while it might be asked for, it is by no means necessary. If you process your deposit over the net, you will need to provide your ss#, that is true, but that is if YOU process it yourself.

The reason we are comfortable offering a 50% bonus is that it is a ONE TIME THING. It is only for your FIRST e-check, so as to acclimate our clients to our e-check system.

Thanks for your interest, Dee. I hope to hear from you soon and that you take advantage of our generous offer for your first e-check deposit. If you would like, give us a call and ask for me and I would be happy to help.

On a final note, to the guys who supported us for the last week when all these people we trying to bash us...THANK YOU. Nothing makes us happier than proving all the naysayers wrong. We did that by paying every client in a timely fashion...AS WE ALWAYS HAVE. We had more payouts this week than any other week, and they were ALL taken care of. I would love to sit here and tell all these "informed" posters what they can do with themselves, but I think I will bother them more by simply sitting here and smiling in their uninformed, agenda filled faces.

Ok, I guess I could be a little paranoid.
Didn't want to get kicked out before I got
at least one winner.

Thanks dodger

Not sure Echeck is so good in this industry. Don't feel safe giving that info.
