The REDS and I don`t even see that happening...Yes it would a carnival side show and put people in the seats, but who would really hire him to manage?

Would I like to see Peter Edward Rose manage again?? Sure why not,lol... But only because it would be big news....He was never even considered a good manager anyway, its not like Rose was the 2nd coming of Sparky Anderson...I could see Pete maybe a coach or maybe a radio or TV guy, not like he had the personality for it though...

Great player? YES Good Manager? NO, he is a moron of a man.

Get lost Pete, enjoy the Hall as a player but forget about managing, thank God the game has past you by as a manager!

I think the Reds could be desperate enough though to do it for the ticket revenue, we have to remember as you said the game has passed him by...A whole generation has almost passed here...He would have trouble relating IMO in the best scenario...

Eric , I have to tell you, I have often thought of that story you told about the game when you 'hung' in there under adverse conditions...I wont say what but I am sure you remember... very 'gamer' like man!

Journey, I just wish I was still playing!

Now, I can only hope my son plays, he is now 10 months old now, won't be long now!

Hope he never has to play with "soil" in his pants!

I agree that hiring Pete Rose to manage at the big league level would be ignorant. If Pete wanted to manage again, he needs to first be a coach or manage at the minor league level to prove himself. Nothing should be handed over to him just because he is Pete Rose. With that being said, I do think Pete belongs back in some capacity in baseball as well as the Hall of Fame.

Almost forgot
Shitty husband, horrible father, and from what I understand a free loading COMP whore. Seems this loser cant even pull a quarter out of his pocket for a meal. The man is feared in Vegas, wants his ass kissed because he pushes a couple dimes in Greyhound bets through the window.

IMHO Pete rose should begin by managing at Auburn, New York. It's a nice little up-state prison town in the New-York Penn League.

Only minutes from Geneva [now defunct], our boy started his pro career there in the early 60's hitting .277 and leading the league in errors in his first year.

And it's only a short drive from the Finger Lakes in Canadaigua and he could also get to Penn National easily enough too I suppose.

If he gets a fresh start he should begin where he began before.

From the cheers Pete Got at the all star game, I think most can forgive and give the man a chance.

Pete would do well as a minor league manager. He could suppliment his income by bankrolling local teens in a dope ring. These funds will come in handy to support his pari mutual problem.
