Think about this for a second ...

I like to place wagers on the NFL a few times a year. A friend of a friend who also wagers tells me about Gamblers Avenue. I sign up, send a Dime and make my wagers each Sunday over the phone.

I don't really surf the web, so I don't have a clue about The Rx and other sports forums.

I have 3 Dimes now cuz my year has been good.
So I call tonight and ask for a payout, to get my original post-up back($1000)

The customer service agent proceeds to tell me that Gamblers Avenue has since today been sold to Royal Sports and that I can't request a payout till I rollover my existing balance 5 TIMES!!!

What would you say to this type of player ????

These are the guys I truly feel sorry for.

Now this 5x rollover .. I don't know about that. So the guy(can't remember his name .. sorry) who has 6 DIMES has to roll it over $30,000 !!! WOW!

I would be happy someone has came in and offered to bail them out. The rollover has to be inforced to give royal a chance to win back some of the money.

Let me ask you something though.. What could your "friend of a friend" possibly of told you that would make you play at GA? They had vanilla lines and didn't offer the betting options available at 95% of the other books. With 30+ other books around these sites and forums I am sure you could of choose a book that has been around a while. The only thing that could of been told to you is the 20% bonus.

Hey Krackman,

The story above it just that. A Story.

But look at it this way. The friend I mentioned above who recomended Gamblers Avenue and endorsed it .. his name was THE RX.

I know, I know I should be glad that Royal came in and save us, bailed us out whatever you want to call it .. but this 5x rollover just doesnt sit right.

People here will remember this and what people said and who said it for a long time.

I wish the best of luck to ANY NEW SPORTSBOOK and anyone thinking about opening one. You will not survive without $$$$ and at least a 5 YEAR PLAN cuz no-one and I mean NO-ONE will play at your book untill then.

Best of Luck To All ... and Our 5x Rollover.

Krackman,
No one including people who advertised for them was saying anything negative when putting up huge banner ads.
I myself am guilty. I signed up with the NBA contest. Dropped in my buck and they gave me a bonus on top of that to check out the site. So I essentially paid nothing to get in a contest with large potential. When I checked out the site I knew right then it was a terrible operation.

We all know books that offer front door attraction have to have something inside. We should of called em as we see em no matter how nice they are or how much they spend on advertising.

A casual bettor could easily fall into this situation from clicking a banner from a site they thought had people that new better.
