I have heard that everybody loses betting horses. I don't know if that is true. If someone wins year in and year out, i would like to know what their angle is. Thank you.

I posted before about one in one hundred before rebates maybe with rebates it depends how much the rebate maybe as many as one in ten might be to generous all you players who say they win better check your records Without rebate and other edges like full odds also help

Overall in a given year I make more money than I lose and that is entirely through live betting or OTB - NOT offshore (therefore no rebating etc)
My only suggestion is that you learn ONE PARTICULAR TRACK. Do not try to play 10 tracks and bet 127 races a day. If you want "entertainment bets" then fine - do not expectto win in the end without sheer luck. If you want to consistently win $$, then you must seriously pick your spots. From a 12 race card at Mohawk I will only play maybe 3 races "Hard" as they are very good prospects. Ofthe other 9, I might play 3 - 5 of those at most.
Some days I just want entertainment value and I'll throw a few dollars at every race just because I am out socially for dinner at the track with friends or clients - that is different.
In the end it is always "Money management" that will make you or break you.

Good luck

sds you are doing a hell of a job over coming any where from 14% to 25% but you must not need the money by not taking rebates and always going into the you are one of few

The problem with internet sites Ellen is the cap on exotics!! 300-1 on tri's is waaay too low! Several cap exactors at 300-1 as well which is confusing. I win several good exotics per week and if I played them offshore, I'd get a fraction of what I would by driving 7 mins to my OTB site! All the frills of offshore are fine but when I lay a $50 tri bet I am not looking for 300-1 in some cases.
I keep my offshore account for playing WPS bets and some exactors but if I can get to the track, I'll just do it all there with CASH!

understand what you need is pinnacle to take the tracks you bet it seems the way you bet could make up to or than 25% more 50 dollars at the the otb you are destroying your own price after you are done it is not paying over 300 to 1 does your otb charge a sir charge the one I was betting was 2.5 percent a little more right out of your pocket how many of these 50 dollars bet after you get done pay over 300 to one

Let's just keep it all simple. There are several Tri's that pay in excess of $600 on a $2 bet every night. If I am hitting some of them weekly but being capped at $600, then I have a problem. Ignoring takeouts etc, the fact of the matter is that I am giving money away MYSELF by playing under those rules. That is about it in a nutshell.

In my humble but accurate opinion

You can beat A race
but
you can't beat THE races
