"Something's happenings here,
What it is, ain't exactly clear,
There's a man with a gun over there,
Telling me I've got to Beware.

It's time we stop children
What's that sound
Everybody Look what's going down"

"Us and Them" by Rodger Waters [out of context]

...."And the General sat, as the lines on the map moved from side to side
Back and Blue
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up and Down.....
And in the end it's only round and round and round
Haven't you heard it's only a battle of words
The poster bearer cried....
And who will deny that's what the fighting's all about.....
Get out of the way, it's a busy day
And I've got things on my mind
For want of the price of tea and a slice
The Old Man Died"

Adios my friend.

Better Waters:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
We watched the tragedy unfold
We did as we were told
We bought and sold
It was the greatest show on Earth!
But then it was over

We all drove up in our racing cars
We ate our last few jars of caviar
And somewhere out there in the stars
A keen-eyed lookout saw a flicker of light

And when they found our shadows
Clumped 'round the T.V. set
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test

They checked out all the data on their list
And then
The alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed

But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left:
"This species has amused itself to death."

Thank you Judge,

A complement like that from an erudite and highly respected poster to a "newbie" is one to truly appreciate.

Jones was just another August call-up to the big leagues. Extremely talented, may stick this time as he is tired of riding the buses.

Guess there are times when we all need to share a little pain
And ironing out the rough spots
Is the hardest part when memories remain
And it's times like these when we all need to hear the radio
`Cause from the lips of some old singer
We can share the troubles we already know

Turn them on, turn them on
Turn on those sad songs
When all hope is gone
Why don't you tune in and turn them on

They reach into your room
Just feel their gentle touch
When all hope is gone
Sad songs say so much

If someone else is suffering enough to write it down
When every single word makes sense
Then it's easier to have those songs around
The kick inside is in the line that finally gets to you
and it feels so good to hurt so bad
And suffer just enough to sing the blues

Sad songs, they say
Sad songs, they say
Sad songs, they say
Sad songs, they say so much
