I'm probably in the minority here, but IMO this college OT stuff is cheesy

I flipped the station after the 4th OT. Just call the damn thing a draw after 3 OT's or something.

I think its retarded. The coin toss is like 52% to the winner, big freaking deal. No need to ruin football with this "lets take turns" pussy bullshit.

I'm also not a big fan of ties in football (NFL). I say play sudden death (like the first overtime) until someone wins.

Since ties occur at the rate of 1 every 5 years, that would mean that a game that made it to the end of 2OT would come along every 25 years. It would make it to the end of triple OT around once every 125 years. At those odds, I think it would be a blast to watch a triple OT football game on the once in a lifetime chance it happened.

i agree. they have to make it tougher to score in ot. either make it so you can't kick a field goal or make so you can't get a first down (start first and goal) or start from the 50 yard line.

i think the nfl ot rule is worse. sudden death blows. i'll take the current college rule over the nfl rule. but, i think they both should be modified to better suit my tastes.

I still like it even after losing this one. But one thing that should go is, as it wears on the defensive units should not be asked to go out there twice in a row. Starting it at the thirty would seem to make more sense too.

Why two and a have first downs rather than three? If you don't move the ball even a yard it's a 47 yarder. Still very makeable for a college kicker.

How about 1 extra 15 minute quarter played wins it. No more whining about about my team did'nt get the ball as in the NFL and no more 7 ot games as in college. No sudden death, play the extra quarter and if noone wins, it's a tie.

I can't stand college football overtime and I actually had this one come home for me somehow. Boring. Not to mention the defense is usually pretty bad as they are tired, how many failed arm tackles can we watch?

I like the pro system. First one to score wins, if it doesn't happen after an extra quarter of football call it a tie. Keep players from getting hurt playing all this football and just call it a day if they are tied after 5 quarters.

I was thinking about this the other day and feel that football wagers should be graded after regulation time of play, like soccer games are.
This way you wuoldn't get the cheap overs or cheap covers in overtime. No way do you deserve to lose after you've done your homework and the game goes 5 ots and you lose a total or a side.

I agree Lander,

What they need to do is do the regular OT once, then if its still tied make them go for 2 the next 2 times , If tied after thatmake them each kick FG's starting at 35 yds and back it up 10 everytime until one misses
