this weekend. A must see. Ed Harris and Cuba Gooding Jr are both tremendous!

I am very tired of "Retard Chic". Every actor wants to play a retarded character in everything these days. It's old and tiring. Enough already.

I have to admit, I could not agree more. IMO. it is much easier to overact and play someone handicapped or retarted. Actors love these kind of roles, because they are not that difficult. Having said that, maybe "Radio" is a terrific movie, just not something I look forward to seeing.

What was the name of the other where the guy was retarded and raised the kid? I actually thought that one was great.

Wil, you couldn't be more right, I don't when this became the "in thing" to do but I'm so sick of it that I won't even see any of these movies anymore.

was Dustin Hoffman's protrayal of Raymond Babbitt in Rain Man. Sean Penn just did I am Sam which sucked. Plenty of others over the years, I just can't watch them.

FYI

My mom was a Special Ed teacher for 32 years. We watched I am Sam together and she said that over the years that she had been disappointed at movies portraying handicapped children as most were not done well. Where as I am Sam was done the best she had ever seen. Sam and all of his friends.

Another one that she said was done well was Rain Man.
