I was sitting here with Lenny looking at next weeks NFL and I told Lenny that I thought the Monday night total was to high. Colts/Buccs. Lenny told me, go ahead and drop it to 37 and watch everyone move the line after us. A couple seconds later, Cris moved to 37.5. I got on the phone and called Rio. I couldn't get thru on the local number so I called the 800 number. The clerk came on and said, "Hello, may I help you" I gave my account number and password, then asked for game number 423-424. "Sorry sir, that game is on hold". So I wait, and wait, and wait, then, the clerk comes back and says "That line is Bucs -5 and 38. So I tell him, "OK, I'll take +5 for the Limit and Under 38 for the Limit. He then tells the boss and the boss tells him to tell me I can have 1000 under and nothing else. I asked what the limits where and the Boss in the background started screamin. After we went round and round they finaly gave me the bet and told me that because they made a mistake, and I am taking the bet, that I am no-longer welcome to bet there. Just wondering, does that sound right to everyone in this forum or am I out of line.

This industry is run by some of the most infantile minds I have ever seen.

Dru this type of garbage goes on all the time and its not acceptable!!! There are to many idiots running sportsbooks today and they dont have a clue, they prefer to discourage bets and not take them. I have posted many times on here about these new cyber-bookies and the garbage they pull. You and Lenny run a top notch Sportsbook and should only be treated with respect but its just not gonna happen anymore, un-qualified cheaper employees is what brought on this trend, its really a shame this industry we in!

Ohh and I forgot, you and Lenny should start doing what Spiro does, put a different line on the screen, let everyoine copy it, bet the other clowns that follwed your line, when you are done betting put the "real" line back up on Don Best!

Did you just hop of off the Mosley bus?

Rio's up by one on my card ... the 'c' word was the only good punch that landed.

1/ Question what sort of cheap shot is that a dime on the total and nothing else , when you were read 5 & 38 and you asked for the limit on both .

2/ If you were given that line then Rio should not only honor that line but also they should take the bet for the limit which just happens to be $5K on sides and $3K on totals I believe ( not a dime).

3/ If the lines FOLLOWER is NOT capable of doing his/her job correctly then why do Rio continue to employ this person , if the book made a mistake then that is their error not yours .

4/ I would imagine that you could not get through on the local lines as they probably knew it was you calling from the caller ID and decided to wait and see what was happening before answering the phone .
At least that way they could try and face you off on the line moving or make a dry move which they tend to do on a regular basis .

Does it concern anyone else that a book is gambling instead of watching their board?

first of all it should be:

Our Linesfollower, not linesmaker because everyone in the industry knows that Rio moves lines to avoid bets, not to take them. 2nd, I dont know what I did to upset the Linesfollower in question. All I did was ask for a line, tried to bet it, and now I get this abuse. Maybe Doc should see a Doc with the mental problem he has

Lander, Lenny and Dru were both at the desk watching the board, not only were they watching but they were also discussing lines for the upcomming week. Does it concern you that Rio was more interested in watching what Cascade and Cris were doing instead watching thier own action come in???
