BlueMarlinSports would like to announce an extension of our Free half point when you buy a half point to include NBA Basketball. So for all NBA sides and totals when you buy a half point you get an additional 1/2 point FREE. This is good on internet wagers up to $500 and phone in up to $2000 for sides and $1000 totals. This offer is still valid on all NFL and College Football with the exception being buying on or off of the numbers 3 and 7 in the NFL which carries a 5 cent surcharge for both on or off of 3 and or 7. New accounts will receive a 20% bonus (15% cash a free parlay worth 5% of the deposit with a 5 x rollover) We will pick up all fees on deposits of $300 or more. There 1/2 pt is pretty much useless, due to the way Blue Marlin adjusts their line.

If the consensus line "should be" 3.5, Blue Marlin will have it at 4. If it should be at 2.5 blue marlin will have it at 2. Thus preventing any value players from getting any type of deal by buying through the "3".

Nice gimic, but no real value.

I don't understand your point. Wouldn't you be able to grab a full point off the consensus if you played into their opinion?

Yes, In the NFL you can go from +2 @-110 to + 3 for -125 From +2.5 to + 3.5 or from -3.5 to -2.5 it will be -130

Consensus line is +2.5 -110
Blue Marlin will always have this line at +2 -110

Assuming the consensus line is the correct line, being able to get the Favorite at -2 vs. -2.5 is worth very little.

Now, if I want to take Blue Marlin up on their 1/2 pt deal, which makes sense if you are betting the dog, I can get +3-125. Or I can go to another book where the consensus line is +2.5, and get +3 -130. Small savings, but nothing to get excited about.

Value players are getting very very little from this "deal"

Again, nice gimmic, but very little value

If they're shading the favs, then only play the doggies there. I fail to see how this is a gimic - it sounds more like this 1/2 point is reallly a full point if you play it right.

IMO this is much more valable than the vanilla lines at other shops.

How many consensus lines do you think there are? Sure, if you can shop at 200 places then this offer is probably going to be of value about 1% of the time (tops). But most people have a handful of books at best.

I know what you are trying to say, but it's purely theory for 95% of the punters. The other 5% have the number of outs that make this an insignificant value.
