I got it about a week ago - After reading the first 15000 words, I gave up figuring it out.

I got one back in 2001. After a 2 years of litigation I finally got a check for $3.00 and change. Not worth my time.

What's worse this time is, that they ain't even offering a check, this time they will give out coupons, and get this, to be used for Western Union again!!! So what now? I use the coupon and I end up getting another litigation notice in the mail 2 years later and do this all over again?? What a racket! LOL

Dante,

with the world the way it is now, I'm afraid to throw anything out, I read things carefully, who knows what people are up to these days.

All that is left of "Colleen" are memories and my username. Who knows where or what she's doing these days. LOL

Glenn, I got one like some others a couple years ago, which was followed up by a $2 check, if I remember correctly.
To be off their list---I put the check in old file no.13. (If I remember correcly it was a "patterson litigation case", but not sure.)

I hate lawsuits for trivial shit--lawyers seem to be the ones that make the money. But be carefull of that McDonald Coffee!! LOL

Patterson Litigation Case is the one I got too. I think the settlement amount was based upon how much you wired through W.U. I only wired about $500 one time. If a person wired hundreds of thousands of dollars maybe the settlement amount would be larger.

Question to you guys....

I want to "Opt out" of this cause I don't want anything to do with this litigation. But what if I forgot when i sent the money and when either??? They want that info, but i never took any records.

Can someone give me advice. I tried to email the company, but they don't even email me back.

Glenn:

I would just ignore them then. Do they still send you mail or email? Is there a response they provide for you to get your name off the list?

I can send them regular mail telling them to "opt out" but they said in the letter, write how many times, what year and month I did it. I have no idea, but it was within the last 4 years which puts me in the case.

They give an email, which I emailed, but no response at all.

They give a phone number 1-888-805-6092, but they said only use it to request a Notice. It doesn't say I can use it to ask questions. So I never called it yet. If anyone wants to call it and ask, feel free and come back and post what they said. I'm still looking this over.

You can look at the litigation at this site:

Gleen--This is funny.
How much do you expect to receive?? Big Bucks?

The lawyers will make the money--you'll get enough for as the GENERAL says--"a happy mean".

Did you guys read the entire thing carefully? If we don't "opt out" and if they settle the case, then I know we'll get like maybe 1.50 coupon or something, but it says if they don't end up settling, the lawyers will charge "us" their legal fees and we'll be owing them something, and who knows how much that will be.

I hope you guys read that part, that's the part that got me scared, especially how the greedy economic world operates today.

Impossible for you to owe them, unless you brought the case.

They know what they are doing. Any lawyer anywhere anytime--could get someone to file some suit and mail out the same stuff.

I'd be a LOT MORE concerned with any taxes you might owe than that letter!!
