Does anyone else besides me think that this is one of the most overpriced lines ever in Baseball?

I realize how good this Yankee team can be. I also know all about Andy Pettite and the fact that the Yankees are at HOME.

I also realize that the Marlins' NUMBER 1 pitcher is pitching on only three days rest....

But, in Game 4, BECKETT was a pick it against MUSSINA and now suddenly he is a huge dog in NY?

FYI, BECKETT allowed only 3 hits in that game, all to Derek Jeter and was charged with 2 earned runs in 7 plus innings..

I don't care whatever the outcome is at this point but believe me, this has GOT to be one of the most inflated lines in the history of the sport...

If you can get the Marlins at plus $1.65 or better, I strongly recommend it and I also predict that the Marlins WIN tonight...

Journey,

I have a BIG BET I made at beginning of Series taking the MARLINS at 2:1 odds...

I just think their speed, defense, starting pitching, and relief pitching is good enough to overcome the more powerful Yankees...

and to all of you who hedge, I am NOT hedging....

Why?

Because I have a huge bet getting 2:1 odds which is now about a 7'5 favorite...

Hedging only give me the fair odds for today, which I also believe is totally inflated in favor of Yankees, and therefore, not so fair, lol..

Ken I am not playing this game, but I can not see how Pettite will lose a game where he has full rest, is pitching very well as of late and yanks backs on the wall and beckett only on 3 days rest....If I played this id take yanks RL...I think they come out pissed..

good luck

The Price is very high and I won't play the game, because the Yankees are at HOME. I see them winning here but a TOUGH game to play.

Will you take it then Ken? That is IF the Yankees win tonight....Its got to be strange going against your team....

I did that once when Baltimore was up 2-0 going back to heavily favored Cleveland back in 96...I knew Cle. wasn`t going 3 and out, it was the weirdest thing going against what was then still the team I bled for...

Will he hedge tomorrow if need be?

Shrink my bet is that the Marlins wont have to play on Sunday. Josh Beck at this price is the biggest value on the board tonight.

Yankees are way way overrated. Not even Andy will be able to stop these fighting fish. Yankees get

Strange how the Marlins are favored to win the series, but the Yanks are decent favs tonight and would be heavy favs tomorrow.

Nothing strange about the Marlins being favored to win the series. Do the math and you will see its an easy price to calculate and most books have it right at where you would be if you just parlayed the two games.

LeyKis,

Its just because the Marlins only have to win 1. Even with the Yankees being favorites in both Games 6 and 7, it is slightly more likely that the Marlins win 1 then it is that the Yankees win 2. It is kind of like taking a 2 team parlay with 2 favorites. You will still be getting + money because its likely that one of those favorites will lose.

When Fla lost to Pettite they were playing their 4th road playoff game in a row and had won the previous 3 road games. They were spent. Today will be a different story. They have felt enough pressure this postseason to come out and slaughter the yankees tonight. While theyanks have better stats in the series, the stat i like is innings led. The Marlins have had the lead in something like 66% of all innings played. Tonight they will get a giant lead early. If they dont win by more than 3 runs tonight I will give up glue sniffing forever.
