I liked Jamaica at first, but I gotta say their lines have become more and more vanilla with less offerings and less special offers. I like their website layout and they are solid with payouts but I don't find much value there lately.

I beg to differ on that matter. I think they are a must have out for their hockey lines(arent afraid to mix it up when everyone else is 5under-155 and they are 4.5 under-115)

Granted their are only 2 games, but I compared ML, Spread & Totals from BetJam with 5 other books (Pin, Panam, Holly, Lay107, WagerStreet)

and BetJam didnt' have a single best line.

They had one unique line on the Salami as everyone else had a 10.5 and they had 10, but the juice difference didn't offer and value IMO

dude there is only 2 games tonight wait until there is more than 4 games

the point is this book pays like a bank and is a good out for all players. I find if you go back 2 years and read reviews on the books there is no "value" or "off numbers" shit..that is due to the scalpers influx. Somewhere along the line we lost site that these shops offer a service to us that we can log in or call in a play opinion or otherwise and have action on the games without having to worry about the cops busting the local and finding our names in their black book of customers.

IMO after all the low vig shops are gone and the old school ones like jamaica,greek,cris,grande are still standing it will revert back to normal, and people will be thankful just to be able to get down on a game rather than bitch about value

Why are they a must out if they don't offer the best lines? Would you go to Barnes and Nobles to pay more for the same book that was available at Amazon for less?

BP, regardless of your sheet there is simply NO NEED for vanilla full-priced outs, when they will never beat the prices of Pin, Panam, Holly & Lay107.

lander those books you mentioned are among the elite in my opinion as well I am just saying there is value everywhere at some point for some sports

NFL for example this season betjm has offered more NFL flat 3's than any book in the industry....now that's a solid line that all people can value is it not?

I'll take your word for it on hockey -- I don't bet hockey so you could be right on that account. I'm speaking mainly of baseball and football now. Naturally I can't speak of NBA/NCAA since they've never posted a line on those sports.

Depends, if there were other 3's at reduced vig shops then BetJM isn't needed IMO. If they had the only 3's or the best price on one of the sides, then yes - BetJm would have value.

I really don't follow their NFL, so I don't know if they have or don't have the best prices.

So this is not an issue of if there's money and how solid they are; this is an issue about VALUE. If you think you can find more value in a line being dealt @ -110, I have to agree with you. The VALUE there is being perceived by the BOOKMAKER.

-107 means nothing less that a 30% reduction in the vigg for the gambler. From a players point of view, -107 is definitely more valuable.

BP, saw exactly ONE line that had some value over the others -- Navy -3-110. Overall, quite vanilla like I said. Nice live lines site though, very nice.

This was about hockey not 50+ NCAA games, but as far as I can tell they have the best numbers on the following ..

#343 15.5 -110 (next best is 16 -105, which is probably equivlent)
#349 3 -110 (nice value, there are no other 3's)

2 (really 1.5) out of 53 with 14 books shown

I guess it doesn' hurt to have them, but not too many can afford a bookt that is used 1 out of 26 times (meaning they have 26 books

)

I agree.

Maybe they're financially solid, maybe they're not. Who really knows unless you've seen the books. They certainly don't have a lengthy track record to rely on.

From a betting standpoint, there's nothing much of value here. There's plenty of better places to play.
