I don't care if you like him or not...Your not going to tell me that he isn't the most mentally tough little prick in baseball...He had to get through people throwing stuff at him calling him names, being led to the stadium under special security and death threats....and ended up throwing one of the best games in playoff history under the most intense hostile pressure in history...If manged properly he would have never gotten the loss and certainley may have gotten a win..
He has never begged out of a big game like Clemens has.
Pedro was even man enough to take the blame for that Forrest Gump fxck manager.

Agreed. Not to mention that he doesn't have nearly the stuff he did a few years ago. To lose 5 mph off your fastball and still dominate is impressive.

Yeah, 5 runs in 7 1/3 innings ranks right up there with Don Larson.

Pedro's "EGO" has done him in for the last time, you PEDRO, not Grady lost the game. You PEDRO, not Grady was pitching the game. Boston fans who blame anyone but KING PEDRO, are not facing reality. Why aren't any of you Boston fans saying anything about the other Dominican headcase, Manny Ramirez, who called his father in the 5TH INNING, to tell hin "we're going to the world series" what a MORON. MANNY, you got a call from YOGI he wants to let you know "IT A'INT OVER 'TILL IT'S OVER"

Grady should have say give me the ball and go sit down. PERIOD! It was not necessary to wait or ask Pedro how he felt.

Gambler is that true? did MANNY really make that call?

You may hate Pedro, but he still is the most dominate pitcher out there, even after losing some of his stuff through the years

Now Pedro will not be remembered for any of his Hall of Fame career acomplishments, but only as the "guy who threw old Don Zimmer to the ground." I dont like the Yankees but I'm glad
the Red Sox didn't make it to the World Series.
Pedro is a Scumbag.

zimmer was wrong for charging at him. but that is another issue altogether. it is the managers responsibility to pull the pitcher if he is losing steam and the manager failed to do that in this case, but that does not mean that the yankees would not have still won the game!

I like the new Pedro, his recent actions got rid of the whore*****rs who liked him for the wrong reasons, now Pedro will have real fans who like him for his competiveness and heart instead of irrelevant stats. Pedro is genuine and not a phony piece of garbage like Cal Ripken.

How come nobody gets pissed off when Clemens headhunts and talks sh1t..At least Pedro came to bat in the NL when he was their and never was afraid to pitch inside then...Clemens never did.
Clemens asked out of game 6 world series in '86 and had the rotation moved around when he had to face the Mets after throwing at Piazza so he wouldn't have to bat....So screw you Tommy Fu.

Patriot, your a sore loser just like your LOSER Beantown bums for the last 100 years, as you all like to use as an excuse it's the managers decision, we'll i remember Torre made the decision not to pitch Clemons in that game because he didn't want his pitcher to get beaned. The manager has the final say right? Just ask KING PUSS PEDRO.
