I have never seen anything even close to these two mirror image meltdowns ....We have two storied franchises both on the brink of World Series appearances than it happened the 'end game'....In Chess its perhaps a little more uniform , but either way these two buffoons literally cost their respective Teams and their great fans Pennants!

Both times riding their work horses to exhaustion, I`m not sure which fvckup was worse ....And of course the Yankees are the beneficiary, what else is new!

Yankees in 5!

No Pedro did not gag it up. He was physically and mentally spent. 95% of all pitchers, when asked by a manager will say " Yea skip I can get him, I'm OK" At that point, the manager will usually ask the catcher what he thinks.

Last night Pedro's body language and his facial expressions pretty much told the story.
And his stuff as clearly apparent on TV was gone. Wil called the shot . Pedro should'nt have even started the 8th.

But a catcher can almost always tell when a pitcher's stuff is gone, believe me. Don't know if he said anything or was even asked. Even when not asked it is the catchers responsibility to offer an opinion. But this Was PEDRO and so maybe all of what I just said does not apply.

Pedro is gutless but Little should be fired for leaving him in to face Matsui, a lefty hitter who crushes righthanders but is pathetic against lefties. Embree would have blown him away.

I despise Pedro. But he should not have been out there in the eight. I pull him after the first baserunner in the inning if I let him out there at all. That is "playing it by the book."

He was losing it real, real fast. Try to understand how much is at stake and just how much of a toll the mental strain takes in a post season game like this. There CAN BE NO MISTAKES and that takes it's toll. 100%+ focus on each single pitch. Hitter comes up and takes his swings and sits down, pitcher is out there and out there and out there.

It was pointed out how he reached back for more velocity with baserunners on. 100 pitches in these games are 135 in some midseason game. One hit--one quirky play [see two nights earlier]and all of a sudden MENTALLY there is no gas left. Just like running out of gas on the freeway you don't go much further without it.

Pedro and Prior both prooved my point here at exactly the same moment of their repective games.

Grady Little cost Boston a series trip...bottom line. My screams of "PULL PEDRO" went unheeded in the 8th when 2 guys reached. I guess I needed a megaphone. Little is a buffoon.

That one hurt. Saw it from a bar in san jose with low sound so i couldn't hear what the pitch count was but it was obvious pedro was running out of gas. Sox might have found another way to lose it, but Little made the wrong decision.

And life goes on in Red Sox Nation...

Yeah the Yankees beat 'em because they have a better coach. The Sox better let Grady Little go. He can go teach youth baseball somewhere with that Steve Bartman fool. Oh wait, never mind, Little would still be in over his head.
