Number of outs needed today!

The way our industry has evolved, there is no room for non reduced juice books anymore. Take a look at the Don Best screen at any time throughout the day, EVERY SINGLE BOOK HAS THE EXACT SAME LINE! The books not on the screen then copy the screen books, so at anytime you may have 30 outs all carrying the same line, why use 30 outs???? If there is a difference in the line its at most a half point, u cant even seen 1pt differnces anywhere unless you keep money at books that may not be safe.

Take a look at the Mia-Temple game this week from Don Best:

Catalina, Cascade, Grande, Cris, Olympic, Hollywood, Pinnacle, Jazz, Abc, Rio, Skybook, IASports, Tradewinds, WWTS

ALL ARE USING 31 ON THE GAME, NOT A 31.5 OR A 30.5 ON THIS GAME FROM ANYBOOK. Is 31 a live number in college football???? Does every single book have the same chart on the game, are they all writing the same buisness???? I just dont understand how every book can have the exact same #. Now why would I play at any book laying -110 in todays world, I can lay -105 and get the same # everyone else is using. Catalina and Cascade are the only 2 books that will use a different # from the others and when they do it just gets copied, even by the supposed big boys.

Must outs are reduced juice and then a few others:

Hollywood -107
Pinnacle -105
Catalina Opinionated
Cascade Opinionated
Olympic Huge variety of lines
BetPanAm -107

If you have those 6 books, there really isnt a reason to have money in 10-15 places, thats my opinion!

Chips that is an excellent post. I've told some bookmakers that I like their book but I'd be an idiot to play there with no value.

90% of my plays go to (Sirbet, Pin, BG, Panam).

Hollywood and Lay107 have great NHL lines, so that percentage will change drastically over the next few months, but stil ...

I dont understand your point??? For every person that actually knows that nobody takes a bet anymore and everyone just follows each other without taking a bet, there are 100 people that dont know this. I am glad that you know this to be true but what about the people that dont, do they deserve to know or should we keep this a secret??

7 - 10 years ago it was mostly over the phone action. You saw the move on the screen but you waited for the phone to ring...took the bet and then you move the game. 2 seconds after that phone hung up the floor lit up like a christmas tree with calls chasing that number or the price. It was fun then but now it sucks cause when one moves they all move simotaneously. Use to we could get the phone ring just to make sure they were working by moving a number on DB.

I am not a huge player but I have seen some good numbers from Bet365 on occassion, I think they are worth having.

Been trying to tell people that for quite some time now. Even if they limit you very small, something is better than nothing. WELL WORTH IT TO HAVE THEM IN ONES ARSENAL!!

Good post Chips, I have to agree. Today I think I saw a 32 at Royal and a couple of 31-'s. Tough to move off that 31 so I have to give these books a hand. Personally I'd go to 31 -130 before I move. No use exposing yourself when you don't have to.

Catalina is a fine out to have. As he says like Cascade and a couple of others you can get a unique number there once in a while so it's okay to leave a "full price" book in your arsenal.

, but I can't imagine 31 hitting more then 1% at most, and I think that is high.

What is your thought process behind that?

Jay thats my point, you took the bet and than moved the #, unlike today where u let someone else take the bet and you still move your #. You dont have to go back 7-10 years either, even 3 years ago you were still able to bet a book and then have them move the #, it just doesnt happen anymore. More and more books go out of buisness today using the move on air principle and I have 4 local books that still take bets to move their number and they are doing just fine.

Lander, Sirbet and lay -107 are reduced juice shops that can offer value to any shopper, I just try to limit my newer shops. 4 full football seasons is a good judge of longevity believe it or not, Sirbet and Lay-107 dont have that yet but definately worth a look for small amounts.

The best outs are pinnacle at 105 and rio/skybook with the free half point. I have gotten unreal lines at pinnacle where i lay only 102 on a lot of games. the free half point at Rio has made me a fortune, especially on nfl totals where everyone is at 41, and i can go over 40.5 or under 41.5. If you don't play at either of those places, take up a new recreation.
