most of this I posted across the street last night ...

I am a Cubs fan, but …

Congratulations to the Marlins, who hung in there and did the near-impossible – you got the wins against two of the best pitchers in baseball. You won because you persevered, not because the Cubs choked. You deserved the win, and in my book, you didn’t win because of a foul ball. You won because you never quit, and you did it on the road – you beat the odds. Your comeback is one for the history books. You have my respect – and that Cabrera is unreal.

To the Cubs – thank you for a fantastic season – there’s nothing at ALL to regret.

Now, Fish, go beat the AL now and make your victory worthwhile! Well, if you play the Yankees anyway, if the BoSox, I gotta cheer for the bean-towners!

To D2bets: thank you for your insights into the Cubs this year, for your well-thought out opinions on the Cubs when others where doubting you – you truly do have keen baseball acumen. I also thank you for putting me onto a GREAT ‘Cubs to win the WS’ prop, which allowed me to cash almost 100 units on the hedges, and I also thank Kenny Lofton, whose incredible first-run scoring record allowed me to cash another 115 units. My YEAR has been made because of you and the Cubs, D2, so thank you. Don’t stay down for long, you and the Cubs have NOTHING to regret.
