I am a Cubs fan, but …
Congratulations to the Marlins, who hung in there and did the near-impossible – you got the wins against two of the best pitchers in baseball. You won because you persevered, not because the Cubs choked. You deserved the win, and in my book, you didn’t win because of a foul ball. You won because you never quit, and you did it on the road – you beat the odds. Your comeback is one for the history books. You have my respect – and that Cabrera is unreal.
To the Cubs – thank you for a fantastic season – there’s nothing at ALL to regret.
Now, Fish, go beat the AL now and make your victory worthwhile! Well, if you play the Yankees anyway, if the BoSox, I gotta cheer for the bean-towners!
