I have a feeling it's because the Marlins are playing Game 7 tonight. I am currently watching the Phoenix/Florida hockey game, and I swear, I have never seen a more emptier arena in my life, than in Florida as we speak.. I swear, there have been more people in my mothers basement in the last 4 days, than there are fans in that arena.. Man is it empty..

Do you think Game 7 of the Marlins game tonight has anything to do with this?

I wonder if there will be more fans in Florida watching this hockey game against Phoenix, or Game 7 against the Cubs.

Sick you know the answer to that. Come on man.

Anyone that bets a high fav like the cubbies are tonight no matter the outcome should be beat by a Redman with Wood. LOL

Cuban,

I just hope for that fan kid that the cubbies win. You know he's going to be pacing the room tonight in fear.. because if cubs lose tonight, this kid might not make it alive in life. They will kill him all those cubs fans. I'd hate to be this kid right now. If you think cub bettors or sammy is nervous right now, you ought to see him.. I give this kid 2 weeks to live if Cubs do lose..

If the Cubs lose tonight..

Here are the lines..

This kid lives till end of October

NO -120
YES even

________

O/U of days he will make it alive..

12.5 days ov -125
12.5 days un +105

___________

Will he end up committing suicide from all the pressure on him..

NO -145
YES +125

_______

Sick I agree but you missed one thing my man. See sick the problem is that this kid is really a Marlins fan in a cubbies disguise.

The bookies made him do it since he owes so much money to them playing those high favs through out the playoffs. It went like this.

Bookie: hey kid if a ball even as much gets close to you better make sure you get it.

Kid: What if I dont.

Bookie: You know what will happen then.

Kid: What if they kill me?

Bookie: Dont worry kid your debts will be paid.

Kid: Yeah but what happens after they kill me.

Bookie: Well kid you wont have to worry I tell you.

Kid: What do you mean?

Bookie: Dont worry. We will pay for your burial then kid.

i feel bad for this guy. i really do. its bad enough that alou chews him out in front of 10 million people. then, he sees the cubs lose the game. then he gets pelted with beer and everything else possible. then he has to get escorted out of the stadium with everyone trying to take a shot at him...but, he wakes up this morning (assuming he slept at all) and sees his name, town he lives in, place of work, and college he graduated from printed in the sun times.

in all seriousness if the cubs lose this game, which i think they will, he will have to move to another state. i would recommend florida.

those odds unfortunately are not a joke.. I really do believe this. Here's why..

1- All cub bettors for yesterdays game, total, and the series, would be lost because of this kid. And a lot of people bet in the US..

2- Cubs are up 3-0 and cruising in the 8th, and only a few outs away from going to the World Series, and bam, just like that, this kid ends all hopes for all cubs fans across the USA and worldwide..

You have to understand, in the fans' mind, the Cubs fans were already dreaming Yankees yesterday and finally ending the 1908 curse, and now because of this kid, they might not ever get that chance again.. These fans take it very seriously and have 95 yrs of frustration built in them, and to see it all vanish like that because of one kid, I doubt there won't be one nut in all of US that will off this kid. All I know is this kid must've had a horribly long day awaiting this game here, and his well being. And now that it's 3-0 fla, he's gotta really be pacing now. Definitely his worst day of his whole entire life today..

sick, no question a lot of people blame this guy (he's 26 years old) but not me. gonzo makes that double play and the cubs go to the 9th with at least a 3-1 lead. also, baker should have gone out and got prior calmed down after that incident. he was upset and started pitching like it very shortly thereafter.

this guy feels terrible and if the cubs lose today, it may really ruin his life. that just aint right.

blue,

you're right, i too don't think that it was all the boys fault. Cubs still should have won as they did have their chances to get out of the inning, for example, gonzalez's play at short that he booted.. But cub fans will only look at anything to blame. Plus, to be honest with you, 96% of us would have made the same move as the kid if a ball came to us in the stands. I know for me, I had over 12 foul balls that came within 5 feet of me this year at expo games, and each time, I always went for the ball out of reflexes. you're not thinking of anything else when the ball is coming towards you, and anyone that's had close calls on foul balls will tell you the same thing.. Everyone would have done the exact same thing, mark my words. It's all at the spur of the moment, no time to think..

Guys relax nothing will happen to this kid. He will be escorted all the way back to Florida in the Marlins plane. Plus he will get preferred seats in the world series games.
icon_biggrin.gif
Plus the bookies debts are paid for a job well done. What more could the kid ask for. Oh yeah wait. A Marlins hat & Jersey.

Oh s h i t wait. By golly he has the Jersey. Just look under his sweater what color do you see. By god its teal. If it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, swims like a fish, it must be a fish.

Now if the cubbies lose they will be outraged.

i seriously would have paid 500 bucks out of my pocket to be able to have been sitting next to this kid when Cabrera crushed a 3 run shot in the 1st inning. Man, that must've been one sight. I wonder how his reaction was, assuming he was even watching it and not sleeping after taking 3 sleeping pills because of all he went through and just couldn't handle watching this game because of the pressure. But assuming he saw that 3 run jack, he must've really puked, literaly puked.. I wonder if this kid had any idea last night that he'd be watching this game 7 tonight with this much interest?
icon_biggrin.gif
I mean, his whole life depends on this one game. This is bigger than any of our bets any of us here have ever made, even bigger than your biggest bet you've ever made in your lifetime. That's how big this game is for our old pal Steve Bartman..

but you know what will be good.. If the cubs do hang on, steven bartman will become a very famous guy. From being dead, to becoming a guest on Letterman in the next few days.. you can bet on that.. he will be on some talk show for sure, and on lots of tv shows in chicago and will become famous. So this foul ball yesterday can turn him into an icon in Chicago and have everyone talk about him for a long time.

Talk about a big swing for the kid.. Dead, or famous. That's what this game means to him..
