I was contacted and offered a line of credit by a online book. Is there any place you can go to find out if this book is on the up and up?

If a fellow pro didn't introduce you to them, then I would say pass, unless your last name is Walters or Brodendorfer..just how many outs/limits do you need to fill up on certain games?

Besides, unless you're independently wealthy, why would you risk the untimely stiff when a fat payday comes after a batch of small to moderate square-ups?

There are many credit shops across the US and abroad that are Dun & Bradstreet worthy(deep pockets), but if you're not introduced by proper channels, then why gamble?

In the day and age of generic numbers, and tighter lines, the 3 second phone race for best numbers are over, just pick the winners at reliable outs, and don't worry about having to win your money twice.

Just say no!

Tony - get two accounts with a couple of generic books, two accounts with opinionated books and two accounts with books with 7 cent lines. Spread the cash around, and do book to book transfers if you run short somewhere. This way, you probably won't need an LOC.

With Don Best and line copying, you couldn't do much better even if you had 12 runners with Nextel coast-to-coast walkie talkies walking around Vegas with wireless laptops checking offshore lines.

The lines are what they are.

If you can get locals in 12 different cities, you might have something, but good luck getting your numbers more than 30-60 minutes before kickoff from locals these days anyways.

Providence: Home of Buddy Cianci, The Prince of Providence.

Little Rhody - The Biggest Little State in the Union - where everybody knows everybody.

I mean, if you live in Rhody and can't find a couple of locals, you probably live in a cave.

PS: I ain't Italian though
