is that when the ball is hit the kid isn't looking to see where Moises Alou is at, the kid is watching the ball flying towards his head, the ball could have hit the rail in front of him and hit him in the face.

Any one of us would have done the same thing, you're watching the flight of the ball, he didn't have any idea where Alou was.

Prior still had another pitch to get the guy out, it just didn't happen.

The real goat is Gonzalez for booting that grounder.

I know which team I'll be betting on tomorrow.

just posted the same thing about Gonzalez, Clay, he didn't even get in front of the ball,
He should be crucified, but the Fox announcers (who are DYING for the Cubs to make the World Series) keep harping on the fan.

Sammy has his steroids, but Pudge has HEART!

Listening to the press conference now, and EVERY SINGLE REPORTER keeps whining to Dusty about fan interference.
Give him credit though, he's trying not to whine too much about it.
God, the reporters need to shut up though.

Am I the only one who never saw a kid on the replays they kept showing, it looked to me like two grown men reached for it, of course I'm on pain killers with three cracked ribs , so maybe my judgement is not the best?

McKeon press conference is cracking me up"
He replies to fan, "What was wrong with that, it was in the stands, what's the big deal?"

Reporter asks him if wild pitch was a big play, he says "my guy threw one that gave up a run, that was a big play too."

The reporters are speechless, lol.

GreenDoberman...when people are saying "kid" they're referring to a guy that looks like he's in his 20s. Probably being said by older posters that think of 20 as being young (myself included, and I'm "only" 37)

GB,

McKeon is pretty sharp for being 72. These reporters are trying to get him to say something silly. He knows whats going on.

Easily the manager of the year.

the reply to calling him kid was because the announcers kept insisting he was a kid, a child , on tv, it was kinda like watching boxing on hbo and hearing jim lampley talking about a completely different fight than what is going on in the ring, now everyone thinks it was a kid, that's what they were referring to, now everybody knows better, but at the time they thought it was a child.

feel sorry for the ignorant Chicagoans that feel they should have him killed for this and those that think a goat is the reason, Dusty and his boys choked the game away.

Always looking to blame it on something or someone other than yourself. I'll give you one run because of the guy, but what about the other 7.........no fu**ing way. Cubbies tanked the game bottom line, now quit your whining and get ready to kick some ass in game 7.

if the CUBS wanted to before that critical inning they could have had a loud PA announcement that said "THE CUBS are close to the WORLD SERIES, please all fans, if a ball comes close to you in foul territory during these crucial last 2 innings please stay away and do not reach for the ball, allow the CUBS fielders every chance to catch this ball, remind each other of this important issue between each pitch, Thank You". OK if they did this and the fan still reached for the ball maybe you can complain but that did not happen. Alou also was not shouting as he approached the ball either "GET AWAY". This is a non issue. Alou went crazy and rattled his pitcher and opened the door for the GOAT when he yelled up and went off at those few fans. The Cubs rattled themselves.
