Those 2 fans that interfered will be thrown from the top of the Sears Tower tonight.

happened in the first game when a fan interfered with a catcher on a pop up, that's part of being a good fan, knowing you can cost your team an out and you can save an out from the visitors.

Doesnt look like a kid to me. Looks like a DORK!!!!! I cant believe they are still sitting there and havent got thier you know what handed to them. They better have a security escort out of the park or they just might get tossed from the top of the tower as Hitman suggested.

Cubs should have overcame that. If it wasn't for a 25 mph wind the ball would have stayed foul. Another choke job, by the Cubs, don't blame the fan. I hope Wood gets it done tomorrow.

if that play had happened in florida he might have been called out. i do enough officiating to know what the ump thought. i am sure he thought that since the play was close - the cubs fan f****d his own team - so that's not as bad as if the game were in FL and a marlins' fan did that to the OTHER team. in that case - he probably would have called fan interference - since the home team's fan(s) did it to the road team.

i somewhat compare it to the yankees bozo in G1 who tried to catch todd walker's HR that WOULD have smacked the pole. the loser said if he had let it go - it would have gone foul. first off - what did you expect him to say. but if it really would have gone foul - then LET IT GO FOUL you loser. even if it woulda gone foul (it wouldn't have - but assume it would have) it shoulda been called an HR because a yankees' fan interferred with a boston play.

it was in the stands, so it's not fan interference.

Why does everyone blame the fan, instead of Gonzalez's non chalance on a routine grounder with an average runner booting it, that truly cost them?

obvioulsy we all saw it but lets think a bit about this. first this was a strange event with inches making all the difference. I know millions are hot mad about this play and the fans.

The way I see it Alou goes up (he is not yelling get away get away) he goes up and does not catch a ball that is right at the edge of the stands 12 feet up. He does not make the catch. For God sake you are still up 3-0 with things going well. HEeloses his marbles and strats yelling like a paniced dog. At times like that so you dont rattle the pitcher and other players you keep you cool, sure your fuming on the inside but he should have waved to his teammates (and Pryor) that it was his fault, no big deal, lets get the next one. you still up 3-0. He rattled Pryor BIG BIG BIG time. (Also the pitching coach should hvae come out after Alou went crazy). Prior next pitch wild.....then 0-2 and he cant deliver, then his SS screws up. I put this on Alou..... Think about it.....
