Appreciate the post Winky.

White had it won until Idaho gave up a late TD

Lem can't win he bet on that POS Hawaii. They
are currently losing straight up. Lem's 2 favorite teams to bet on Oakland Raiders and
Hawaii Rainbows. The Rainbows have more excuses
for losses than any team in 1A. Tell them to
just scrimmage against their local high school
teams They have the worst defense in college
football.

Hawaii is very strong at home. Timmy Chang is first rate and has lots of weapons. They even have a solid RB.

Their "D" is has that all important 12th man at home

white is 4-2 with 1 play left

banker is 2-2 with hawaii pending tonite. assuming he wins that he goes to 3-2 w/2 plays left.

HOWEVER....

if banker loses hawaii - he is done. he will be 2-3 while white will be 4-2 - BUTTTTT - BOTH guys have dolphins -3 sunday so if banker loses hawaii - he is done. if banker wins hawaii sunday the best he can do is push if the saints cover the 5 vs. da bears.

12th man is a factor in Hawaii? Are you kidding me? Have you ever watched a game in Aloha Stadium, there usually appears to be about 15,000 people in the stands. Everyone from Hawaii will tell you that there are 40,000 people at every game, but unfotunately for the team about 25,000 of them stay in the parking lot for part or all of the game. Yeah, its just like Madison, except the people in Madison actually like to go inside to watch the game

Nice to see Lem get up for the tie, winning with both Hawaii and New Orleans. I went 9-4 picking up over 4.5 units on the 13 plays.

Great job by two of the best and most honorable in the business

I recommended everyone play Bankers and Ken White's picks. I hope cardfather was not the only one on the forums to cash!

WildBill- have you been living under a rock or something? The officiating at Aloha Stadium has at times - well let's just say - made Don King's judges look fair and unbiased.

as the good father said - these 2 went 9-4 overall - not bad.

lem actually shoulda won this one.

white got a win with AZ/UCLA U46.5 - but that shoulda gone over. if the AZ kicker makes a PAT length FG - the game is tied @ 24 - and OVER 46.5

also - banker has purdue make a 2-pointer to take the lead from 12 - to 14 - and the cover.

Boys I think we got really lucky...

From what I understand about the Stardust Invitational, Lem & Ken will hookup again this coming Friday to break the tie.

We will be getting 7 picks from 2 of the top cappers in the country. While a win isn't guaranteed, you can rest assured- these 2 fellas will have the right sides.

I listened to the show also and was looking forward to their insight on games, but Lem scared me a little because at times it sounded like he couldn't remember things he wanted to talk about and it sounded like maybe someone was feeding him info and picks.

Just IMO, for instance on Hawaii I remember him saying, "What's that kid's name that plays QB for Hawaii...(the host tells him Timmy Chang) yeah, Chang..." I just was surprised at little things like that.

Ta-da...I think I'm the only one who predicted a tie!!! *taking a bow*...too bad I didn't see anyone offering a draw prop

Voltitan...Banker does the same thing on Larry Grossman's show every Friday (live locally on KENO AM-1460 and live and archived at cardplayer.com if you care to listen in)...he gives a bunch of his plays and sometimes does need help with a player/coach's name, but it's usually pretty clear he knows what/who he's talking about with his followup comments.

I was at the Stardust last Friday and don't recall that particular Chang exchange (I was probably talking with a friend) but sometimes Lem will ask for a name and used it as a setup for a joke. For instance, "What's that school that Joe Paterno coaches?" The straight man will answer "Penn St."...and Lem will say "Is that where our friend Sam Angel went? Oh, no, wait, that was the State Penn."

So sometimes he is a little forgetful (I mean, he is getting up there in years, so he should be cut some slack in that regard), and other times he's forgetful as a fox.

Live here in Hawaii and I believe the average crowd at the UH games is around 35,000. Most of them do go in to watch the game after tailgating. Only a few die hards stay in the parking to party during the game.

The crowd here will usually back up UH....if they are winning, but if they are playing lousy and losing, they do let June Jones know how they feel!

Officiating,in my opinion, will never be perfect. Calls will go in your favor sometimes and against you other times. We sometimes forget that the officials are seeing everything at real time and we get to see the replays. The officials are all human, they are not perfect, no one is. Having said that, it get my panties in a bunch when they do screw up...I've yelled at my television on many occassions, as if that helped, and many more times almost threw my remote at the screen. Bad officiating takes away from the game and it seems to me these guys are throwing the yellow tissue more often these days. I wish they would just let them play the game. I've come to the conclusion that if you're going to handicap a game, you need to keep the officiating in mind....too bad you can't get the officiating roster for each game...there are some officials who are more prone to calling bad calls than others. Anyways, that's my opinion...Please don't scream at me for saying so.

I am a 51 yr old female, who cares for my 97 year old grandma 24/7. I enjoy watching football and enjoy reading the sports forums. Don't have an income to gamble, and even if I did, couldn't do it here...not "legal". I just enter the free contests that I find on the net and come to the forums to get info before making my picks. I also am trying to read and learn all I can about handicapping so I can make better choices in my weekly picks.

Good luck with all your bets,
hwnhrt

On a side note, whenever someone says Timmy Chang and Heisman in the same sentence, it makes me want to laugh.I know he can pass the ball and has some good numbers, but twinkle toes for Heis......I think not.
