BASEBALL betting a bad line +1.5 FAVORITE for + $$$

i bet a fav +1.5 +300+

a couple days ago

it was an obvious bad line, however it went through and i was paid

bet only 2 units, did not unload because it would be too obvious

it was made at a very reputable book

how was it not caught?

not complaining

my pt to the book if they voided it would be:

why should i be penalized for your mistake

in the past if i bet a bad line would i have been refunded?

i could have bet an underdog -.5 -250ish

because you did not get greedy, the bet was allowed and you were paid. They may have checked your average bet, realized you were not delibrately trying to rob them, and rather than cause a problem with you, allowed the bet. I recently did something similar, called the book and told them before the game started. They said no problem and let the bet stand, which I won.

early in the college fb season they had a 1st half line up and there was only 1 minute left before half

I said BECAUSE he did not get greedy, the bet may have been left to stand. This is only a hypothesis on my part. They (the book) might have never noticed the bet, who knows. Also I am not condoning the bet, just trying to give a possible explanation as to what MAY have happened.

screw the book

Its us vs them. They want your and you want theres. Its a chess game. If they put their queen out there unprotected you better take it. Otherwise how they gonna learn.

If you dont take it someone else will. JUst becasue your not a square doesnt mean you owe it to the book to call out bad lines. Some guy who doesnt realize odds would take it.

I wouldnt take a win grade on an a bet I actually loss but Id put my average unit on a line in my favor and its dumb that some people actually think the standard should be to not take it.

You know damn well that if you guys saw a computer product or something marked below where you thought it should be you wouldnt go to a manager and ask to pay more. The kid in the blue vest should get his shit together.

also where does it end?

I know books that consider betting on steam a bad line too and want to ommit it. A good book would suck up there mistake and say oops we cost the company money on that one. And if you unloaded on it they should void the wager but not punish you. That wager probably alerted them to the bad line and helped.

What would pinnacle do? Since they are the standard and a shop I would never want to get booted from... HAs anyone EVER gotten a wager canceled there? DO they have a rule on? this just for my own information.
