Being a Red Sox fan, the only problem I had with him was that on that particular homer he SHOULD have been running full speed as it was not a sure homer. He may have got thrown out at second if that ball doesnt go out. This time of year, you should be going all out 100% of the time. I would DEMAND that of my players as manager!!

I think the code of baseball ethics is lost with the Latin players...The emotion they show can at times be misconstrued as in your face...But so what baseball shouldn`t frown on players expressing emotion...Manny was obviously relieved and thrilled to have finally contributed, and it was the game clincher....You see alot of latin players, pitchers especially doing that sort of showing up the opponent...But baseball is the only sport that really takes exception to it...just let them play...Compared to football where every damn play deserves a celebration(which is completely out of hand) what Ramirez did was nothing...

Another thing.....everybody says that this is not old school. BULL*HIT!! Home run hitters have done this FOREVER. Dont these people ever watch Babe Ruth highlights??? The man carried his bat halfway to first with him!!! What about Reggie Jacksons lighttower HR in Detroit?? I still think he is watching that one!! I can go on and on and on. But the fact remains, these players did nothing wrong!!! This is like a coach crying because the other team ran up the score on them. IF YOU CANT STAND THE HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!
