There aren't many teams other than the Yanks that have "accomplished" anything according to you.

I quess you must have had a memory lapse regarding 1957 when the Braves beat the Yanks 4 games to 3 to win the World Series.

I was born in 1957 and hence cannot remember that, Wil. Exactly HOW old ARE you?

I am in my mid 50's. Funny thing the 57 series is the first one I remember. When I was a kid I was a Yankee fan, mainly because it was impossible to root to hard for dreadful Red Sox teams during my childhood. Anyway, I used to skip school, and stay home to watch the World Series back when they were all day games.

wil. btw. Just kiddding around with Strutt, my comment was'nt really fair, they were the Milwaukee Braves back then, with Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, Warren Spahnn and some very good role players.

Surfrat- Mainly just taking my frustrations out on being a Red Sox fan. Glad you agree though.

second place all the time isn't bad? just ask the Buff. Bills and Minn Vikings fans. Shouldn't worry to much about Braves fans there arn't to many of them especially in Atlanta. The only way they can sellout their playoff games was to sell tickets to Cubs fans. Fans in Atlanta are right up their with LA fans(you name the sport)weak.
