I think you have to factor in Pedro's rest and the health of Johnny Damon.

Grueling series for Boston. The club had to overuse its pitchers and who knows the status of Damon. I would make the rested Yankees minus $2.00.

You got Pedro already running on E...Lowe relieving, Damon out, sheesh this is typical Yankees bullshit luck!

I hope somehow they beat em, but its going to be that much harder, what a shame they are not fully armed...

will have to win with their bats, which is not out of the realm of possibility. They have two days to get ready. I got a feeling Damon just has a bad headache. Lowe will probably come back and pitch game one. Take em one at a time.

One day to rest, Wed night is Game 1. I agree its hard to back the Sox, but lets face it the Yanks aren't that much better if everything was equal. Sox looking up because Burkett came up with a nice game and Wakefield is an innings eater. Interesting strategy, Sox hope Lowe can go game 1, with Pedro ready to go 3 and 7. When it comes down to it there are still 2 starts for Pedro and Lowe should get at least one start at home if he goes Game 1. Its hard to back a team you think is tired, but I think getting Ramirez and Ortiz big hits to win games could be a sign of better things to come, I mean how did they win this series with virtually no contribution from their big guns?

Someone told me that along with the Cubs, some books have a bit of a liability on the Sox, but nothing close to as disatrous. Lets put it this way, the books are going to shade as much as they can get away because no doubt from their perspective Yankees winning the WS is the big moneymaker. They win tons in the future book only having to pay out lots of 2/1 tickets and as much as the Sox are a sentimental choice, the Yanks will drive a lot more action and get far higher ratings.

Imagine the Yanks and Cubs, imagine the ratings bonanza on that. If it went 7 games Fox would finally make some money off of the sport for a change.

The Redsox have a past his prime Pedro for there pitching, Yankees in 5, Matsui is a cold hearted phenom, he will hit 500 this series. Matsui is the glue, and the media ignores his greatness.

I guess my predicted line will come pretty close... It should open in the morning at most shops with NYY -165/+145 (approx).. I was shocked to have seen a lot of you predicting this series would be ranging from -200 to -225...Boston deserves a lot of respect...

Is Boston really going to start Lowe in game one? How many pitches has he thrown in relief? How many does he usually throw on an off day is what I would really be interested in knowing?
