I know it can't be used for gambling purposes, but I was wondering if anybody still used them for other online purchases.

Use the paypal debit card almost everyday. But I also sell things online and such. Heck the other day, I sent $500 via western union using my payapl debit card and got 1.5% cashback on the purcahse AND got my fees paid for by the book.

Paypal is the #1 payment service in the world, 20 times over, and is neccessary for anyone who purcahses things over the net

What do you sell online Players? I might open an online giftshop in the near future and might seek some advice from you if it's ok.

Jay is right about the picks, I sell picks using paypal, but I really use it for ebay.

I am a ebay powerseller so the paypal merchant account comes in real handy. I dont want to say what I sell here, but I make about $2000 profit a month off of ebay. But my only problem is that I end up spending about $600 a month on other shit that i dont need off of ebay.

Ebay does have some UNBELIEVABLE deals on ebay. I cant see how these people sell these items for a loss! My profit margin on my items is about 800%, but that might change if I get some competition one day

You REALLY need one of those paypal debit cards, they are a MUST have for internet transactions!

I've got a PayPal debit card. I was wondering what is the best way to turn for advertising. I'm a "greenhorn" when it comes to advertising online.

Paypal was the best thing that ever happened to online gambling. You guys remember when we DIDNT have to pay ANYTHING to use a credit card transaction on payapl?? Neteller charges that shit 3.9% fee!

And the neteller debit is rediculous with the fees!! paypal debit gives me 1.5% cashback!!!!!!! No fees EVER

That is the cool thing about ebay, no one needs to advertise, but the competition can be tough for alot of items, just not mine yet!

playersonly69 - Have you done this with WU allot lately? I thought that didn't work?
And if it does work maybe you shouldn't be advertising it as if everybody did the same right now it would get shut down.

When I get my giftshop going, I'm going to offer a 20% discount to all Rx members. I'll post it in the "Site Promotions" section of course.

While some of the fees suck with Neteller, I think in a way its a good thing for most gamblers. The ones that are or are borderline compulsive you would hope think twice about those instant transfers. It makes you think also about getting some money sent to you for no good reason, after all its usually best to leave it in your bankroll but once it hits your pocket or bank account, how often will it stay dedicated to your bankroll?

That is the thing I don't get about most people, how come so many people are on an instant basis with their books? I do all my Neteller with EFT, the couple day delay both ways makes little difference. I suppose one could get paranoid and think some catastrophe would hit them or maybe they are dealing in amounts over 10k and don't want the paperwork requirements, but otherwise I don't see the delay in being harmful and I could see it being good at controlling the impulsiveness of some people betting offshore. Am I the only one that thinks this way?

I fully agree with you WB
I have been using neteller without any cost to me whatsoever for years now.

I had nothing but bad experiences with paypal, from their non existant customer service to their whole "bait and switch" fee structure to their high handed handling of client problems

good riddance

Palyers,
i have gotten some real great deals on ebay myself..As for paypal, i cant stand them as they basically make their own rules but i still use them to buy and sell. I just never leave a large balance in there..

What kind of bait and switch payment structure are you referring to? Do you expect it to be free for me to receive a credit card payment from a customer?? I get charged only 2.2% to receive a payment and that is fine by me.

I have noticed that most people who had problems with paypal were just trying to screw them over by cancelling their bank accoutns and leaving paypal with a loss from eft transfers that were already sent to sellers.

Despite what you say, they are one of the biggest companies on the net right now and they will be around for yearsto come

2.2% is a ripoff any way you look at it
Paypal is a garbage company run by thieves. Have a look at www.PayPalSucks.com to find countless horror stories about this criminal organization

And no, my friend, I never cancelled my bank account

Biggest does not mean better. They will get what they deserve
