Marlis defeat Ginats in great game 7 to 6. Pudge Rodriguez MVP of series. This team is very dangerous right now.

Marlins are one of those teams that find ugly ways to win. I was pulling for Bonds, but the Marlins definately earned it.

Why were the Giants bunting with nobody out and runners on 1st and 3rd yesterday in the top of 11th? Also Schmidt being a coward doesnt help either.

Maybe beacause Bonds is a real person and not a whore or a puppet like Kobe Bryant, Micheal Jordan or Pete Sampras. Barry Bonds is an easy guy to root for.

For one reason - to end any nonsense talk of him not being an elite because he "didn't win a championship". Is Bonds a dickhead? yeah. Is Bonds one of the greatest ever? yeah.

It's impossible to carry a team when they won't pitch to you.

Outside of Schmidt, Bonds, or Aurilia, and last year(Kent), which Giant every day players or starters do you rate better than any Marlin?

I'm with you Horseshoe. McKeon did a great job of eliminating Bonds from the equation by walking him. Other than him and Schmidt, Florida is really superior especially in the middle of the field defense with I-Rod, Castillo and Pierre.

I think Florida will take the Braves if they get to NLCS, however, need to examine pitching matchups if it is Cubs instead.

I am not sure where I heard it, probably by one of ESPN's analysts. Comparing line-ups staring at first Derrick Lee better than any Giant. 2nd base Luis Castillo, gets the nod over Ray Durham.
At short Aurilla is better than Gonzalez. At third the combo of Cabrera and Lowell equal Alfonso, although Alfonso deserves props for an excellent series. Behind the plate is no contest. As is Left field. Center fielder Juan Pierre is a terrific up and coming player as opposed to a nearly washed up Marquis Grissom. Right fielder combo of Cruz and Hammonds real Giant weak spot. Juan Encarnation very steady for Marlins. After Jason Schmidt the Marlins staff much the best. Essentially the Marlins victory was not an upset. I know this is past post so to speak, but I am responding to a question, these were my feelings before game one.

What an incredible finish in that 9th inning. The final play was one of the most climactic finishes I've seen in playoff history.

Pudge is the man! Played with unmatched intensity and got it done in the clutch, any kid in America (or the world, for that matter) should watch the way he played and his will to win and emulate that in whatever sport or endeavor they play.
