5 bucks on #7 pays

(12.60 x ( wager amount / 2))- wager amount = profit.

Horse payouts are based on a $2.00 bet. When you see the horse paid $12.60 that means you win $12.60 for every $2.00 you bet under that position.

12.6 x (5/2) + 4.6 x (5/2) + 3.6 x (5/2) - 15 = 37

the 15 is the total cost of the ticket
