this doesn't directly answer your question but...

during my last trip to vegas i needed to complete some work and fortunately my hotel had high speed internet in the room. the price was 10 bucks a day for unlimited use.

so my advice would be to check your hotel for access in your room. alternatively, if you cannot get wireless and you will NOT need frequent access to the web, you can use the hotel's business center or a place like kinko's.

Well free access is very rare, but if you have an account with T-Mobile's service or some of the others then you might find it in some stores. On the Strip I don't like your chances, but it wouldn't hurt to call them up and ask. Most of the internet access in rooms I have seen is for the Web TV type operation, where you pay for the service through the TV. Some of the business-focused hotels might offer you a way to connect through a cable for a fee as well.

That isn't it. Its T-Zones or something like that, made for wireless connections. It has nothing to do with its cell phones. They have it at all the Borders stores I have been too, but since there are usually free computers there to use I don't think its too big of a draw for most people to veg for hours in the cafe while still connected to the net. McDonalds and some other fast food places as well as Starbucks were supposed to sign up for it over a couple of years, but the world of free access is pretty limited.

There is a internet cafe next to the Polo Towers on the strip. If staying downtown, there is a place between the Ladyluck hotel and the Freemont Hotel. They charge .25 cents per minute.

Goodluck and win lots of MONEY!

I think there is also another internet cafe across the street from the one BigTex mentioned on the strip - think it's between Boardwalk and Bellagio...
