One problem with Lyons assessment on that play...IT WAS TWO OUTS! Ofcourse Wood is getting a great jump, he`s running on anything duh its TWO OUTS!
Maybe Lyons just didn`t reach base enough in his career to have the knack to score from second on a bloop hit with two outs...
And Brenneman talking about Kerry Wood and his great athleticism..." he is a great athlete, he plays basketball in the offseason" ....."he has dropped 25 lbs."
Duh,if he was such a great athlete , he wouldn`t be out of shape in the first place!!? Wood single handedly beat the Braves last night, 2 RBI`s , run scored and a pitching gem....
