A couple of years ago, there was a book that went out of business and transferred their accounts (or someone took over the accounts, I didn't have an account, so don't remember the book. I was having a conversationt today and was wondering if anyone remembered what was the average account balance of people that had accounts?

I think it was something like $150-$200, but was hoping someone remembered.

Sorry to bring up any bad memories.

Thanks,
Bart

I have no idea because so many little books went under in the last 2 yrs. Was it Golden Bets? That one was taken over by a book too.. And the players had to rollover some of the funds. And I believe VIPsports took over that one. Is that it?

If not, give us a clue.. Was it a big book, a small book? Was there a lot of people that got stiffed? Where were they situated?

sg,

Sorry, this wasn't a trivia contest. I was speaking with someone earlier today, and the subject of how much people say they bet vs. how much they actually bet came up.

For some reason, this triggered a memory that a couple of years ago, there were two books, that went under within a short period of time from each other. In each instance, I think a book tried to do the right thing by helping out the players.

However, in one instance, the accounting information was known, and in one instance, it wasn't known.

In the instance it wasn't known, I think players tried to claim account balances averaging around $1000.

However, in the instance where the accounting information was known, I think the average account balance was somewhere in the $100-$200 range.

Sorry I don't have more details.

Thanks,
Bart

I know it's not a trivia question..

I was just trying to figure it out who it is.. Were they at least a big book, like a possible advertiser here, or were they an unknown fly by night book..

I think it sounds like Golden Bets from what you are saying..

SG,

Golden Bets sounds familiar, but I wasn't involved with either book. Wish I could provide more details, but I can't and it no one remembers, I'll deal with the fact that I don't have the exact figures.

Thanks,
Bart
