It will be a crime IMO if the book steals this money. I know people hate those they think are cheating but nothing was affected on these wagers. The player(s) posted up real money, sent it to a 3rd world country, and then was on the right side of basically 50/50 propositions. He even checked with the book about his situation beforehand. Of course there is no trouble until he wants his winnings. His bets won and now here we are begging a book to not stiff someone....

Books pay off and collect on wagers placed with them, thats what they do. That's why they are open. Not to offer up bonuses and other things to later catch someone abusing it and then use that as ammo to take all the winnings. Handle the administrative stuff other ways but do not take something that is not yours. You feel strongly it's the same guy then penalize him the bonus and the fees, but don't take what is not yours. You couldn't give me a players winnings if I was EWinner, let alone trying to get others to approve it. It's like chopping a man's legs off for jaywalking.

This has got to be a short bankroll talking. Either that or they have never booked before. I wonder if Spiro or other guys who know what they are doing would steal this guys money. Not a chance....

I think that Pat has a good feel for what happened here when he stated that they may have a short bankroll or have never booked before. When we all met in vegas and I had an opportunity to talk to Jared and he seemed like a very decent person. This, of course, does not mean that anybody could make an evaluation with respect to his intentions or the size of his bankroll. However, I do believe that he has very little experience in this business and may be the victim of bad advice by others in this matter. Additionally, putting aside the lack of ethics here, I do not believe that the ramifications of this decision not to pay was clearly thought out before the decision was reached. None of the "brand name" shops would ever withold the winnings of a player and would just boot them after paying them off. WSEX paid off a much larger sum after a huge scam was perpetrated on them. I believe that had Ewinner sought more input before they came to their decision they might have reacted differently. However, the fact remains that they must PAY these people their monies or every second tier book will suffer as a result of their current decision.

KMan I might not be the most popular guy in the world anymore.

But this guy is well known for this type of shit, vanished for a while and all of a sudden reappears after SickoScammo got paid?

C'mon, gotta draw the line somewhere, this is a place that took two and three dollar bets, think about it, how do them type of guys ever get into trouble?
