To be giving away the store with new lower vig and rebates.

Makes an old timer like me a bit nervous...

Sr, I hope so... But my question is valid!

*NO* book is immune to scrutiny especially a gambling one.

I've alway suggested pinny as a must have out but I find these changes in the bettors favor a bit odd.

FF, when they take an opinion on a game, take advantage of the perceived value that you see.....

They should be feared, and yes-they appear to be THAT GOOD.

Horse bettors are natural born losers, Pinnacle will do very well.

Rail-
Yeah, but the volume on horses must be a drop-in-the-bucket compared with the sports, especially during football season.

Does ANYBODY have an estimate of how much action Pinnacle takes a week or just on Sunday? Number of active players would be a good stat as well.

interesting rule of thumb:
all the action Monday-Friday = 1/3 of week
all action on Saturday = 1/3 of week
all action on Sunday = 1/3 of week

This works out suprisingly well. If you look at activity mon-fri you can predict the weekend volume.

Frank, In all my discussions over the past year with anyone in this business, I hear so much about how intelligent and sharp these guys are that run Pinnacle. I see nothing but praise for what they have accomplished. I have every bit of faith that they know what they are doing here. With that being said, i also think there is possibility to fail in all new ventures.

Pinnacle is a case study in sharpness IMO. Never have I seen any book offer so many lines which just look juicy but really aren't. I've made quite a large number of bets with them and my record shows that they sure as hell know what they are doing.

DPO, you and about 98% of offshore books.

Nobody says "bring it on" with funky numbers & high limits with the success that Pinnacle does.

By not posting there phone number they are saving millions don't u remember? Isn't that why they don't post it? To give low vig and high limits?

They are far from bomb proof, they have weaknesses in certain sports like all sportsbooks and they know it themselves. When you know who's in charge of which department and the way that particular risk manager works and thinks, it makes things a hell of alot easier.

They're sure sharp in all the heavily bet sports, you're either talking about tennis or soccer, care to elaborate which? Golf they are sharp as hell also.
