Just got off the phone with Corby who is manager at Ewinner (I think), and requested a withdrawal. He told me that the management had decided to close my account and keep my money of $3160. He admitted to keeping or stealing my money.

Who knows what to think here - if we knew the facts for certain it would be easy to decide - this should teach all you jerkoffs who have multiple scam accounts a good lesson (not saying Studbolt does or does not have 6 accounts)

Rio should have done this to Sick - it would have tought alot of you a good lesson - your money is not safe with any book if you are pulling a scam on them.

I am STILL confused about offshore betting AND the IQ levels at this board at times.

My questions are:

a) WTF is the difference whether I hold 1 account or 10 accounts? It is MY money ,I have the RIGHT to choose where I lay it, and I SHOULD not be CHEATED period. This is like saying that you are only allowed to carry the credit card of ONE store.

2) Why should a bettor NOT take advantage of "new account bonuses"? If the book I am with gave incentives that matched ,then I wouldn't look elsewhere.

3) WHY does this bettors community stand against itself so frequently? This thread sounds like it is answered by bitter book/wite owners? And from it I gather that we can actually JUSTIFY theft from a gambler?

-confused-

SDs: the ****ing difference is that you are taking advandtage of the sportbook with 10 different accts! So when you are the manager of the book you are giveing away 10 good bonuses deals to the same guy. The point is that is not right.
So is like you are cheating on them ! What do you expect when they find out!

Sds,

I don't know which shop you're talking about but most have rules concening new account bonuses... 1 to a customer. Why? Because they're using that bonus as a tool to attract new customers, not reward old ones. To sign up under different names is fraud, plain and simple.

Why would someone need more than 1 account at a single book? The answer is obvious, most are doing something that the book never intended. Whether the player is using the accounts to exceed posted limits, use the accounts to play opposite sides, or to book action for others, the books never intended for these things to happen.

In general most books are unscrupulous business people, to put it mildly, but there are a few decent people out there trying to run a business and players try to take advantage as much as they can.

Regarding bonuses, personally I think they are fine since some of the newer books would have difficulty acquiring new customers without them. With that said, I think both books and players are to blame regarding the problems associated with bonuses. Books try to come up with all sorts of subjective criteria to not onlt prevent players from screwing them but to dispute the bonus when the player wants to leave. I referring to things like being "active" for a certain period of time..wtf does "active" mean..etc. The bottom line is that if a player plays within the rules and wants to leave the book after he hits the rollover amount, he should be able to do so. He tried the book and CLEARLY it was not to his liking if he wants to withdraw all his funds. The book should look at that situation and pay the player and ask, "why are you leaving our book? what can we do better?"

Of course, there are many players who bounce from book to book just looking to acquire bonuses. Personally, it is not my cup of tea but I can see why someone without a lot of options for making money would do something like that. The system is set up for them to almost risklessly acquire bonus money. That's the price that the newer books must pay to acquire new customers.

The funny thing is that when you hear people talk about the "best" books in the space, one attribute they all seem to have in common is a minimal/if any bonus/reload policy yet players continue to post up/reload at these shops.

No, I am not referring to any book in particular as I do not do this. Further, I agree that you should not use "aliases" to gain second bonuses. That said, I PERSONALLY received a "free chips" offer from spam e-mail and signed up. When the account page came up with my $$$ in Bonus Betting chips it appeared to be the company that I already dealt with and RAN FROM! What I am saying as well is that some books run around advrtising under several "aliases" themselves and without knowing it I acccepted an account! lol
I guess I just find it humorous that while we bash gamblers for taking on 3 names and acepting bonuses, we ignore the books who run the same game under a different guise.
There is a book that I do not want to associate with. I often get spam from betting sites and when I click to their site, it turns out that THEY are also part of the group of companies that this parent firm runs. Really what is the difference? I DO NOT want to deal with this one online company, yet they can SUCK ME IN by marketing me from ANOTHER company that they operate!!!!! They are simply "marketing whores" who are bitching about "bonus whores" and WE the gamblers defend them.
Still confusing to me.

Swami,

The insertion of multiple accounts at "ONE book" keeps coming up but I haven't condoned that. I was referring to 10 accounts at 10 books. THAT is what I was seeking clarity on.
thanks

In that case, I don't think anyone cares. If I am correct, the allegation is that the player had multiple accounts at the same book.

SDS,

a) WTF is the difference whether I hold 1 account or 10 accounts? It is MY money ,I have the RIGHT to choose where I lay it, and I SHOULD not be CHEATED period. This is like saying that you are only allowed to carry the credit card of ONE store.
I don't know Studbolt's situation well, but in your example - you broke the rules, so you'd be the one CHEATING .. they're simply reacting.

2) Why should a bettor NOT take advantage of "new account bonuses"? If the book I am with gave incentives that matched ,then I wouldn't look elsewhere.
So, look elsewhere .. you know the rules.

3) WHY does this bettors community stand against itself so frequently? This thread sounds like it is answered by bitter book/wite owners? And from it I gather that we can actually JUSTIFY theft from a gambler?
That's just it - we stand up for BETTORS, NOT SCAMMERS. BIG difference buddy.

I have 4 good friends who like to bet sports as much as I do. We also have accounts at a number of the same books. We also share the computers we use since we might be at each other's houses. It happens all the time.

Corby says that he is keeping my money as well. $2730 of mine and over $500 of that of a friend. He also deleted two wagers which cost me $470. What kind of f***in mindset do some of these sport book operators have that they think it is right to steal someones money. I thought all was well after speaking with Cory last week on the phone. I took the initative to ask him if there were any problems and he told me there wasn't. I thought it was permisible for my friend to log in using my computer to get the 8 cent baseball lines. Cory told me he welcomed my action. Then, out of nowhere, just when I feel things are going well, he invokes rule #3 and closes two accounts, mine and a friends.

Later on he'll probaly make a statement along the lines that EWinner or Sirbet, never stifed anyone. Bullsh*t.

Shrink says he'll help and I shouldn't worry. Sorry shrink, every time I think about how these crooks think they have the right to steal other peoples money it really pisses me off.

I hope you're right and with your help, this matter is resolved amicably and quickly.

Right now I'm pissed!

I agree there is no room for "scammers". With that said, I am seeing tactics used by different books that instantly qualifies THEM as "Scammers".
When I came to the Rx with an "issue" there were VERY VERY few who said a THING about the particulars of my situation but MANY who DECIDED in their own infinite wisdom that I (a stranger) would NEVER lay $40 on a trifecta because THEY wouldn't themselves. To say that this board "upholds justice" is laughable. I have seen a few cases where the Mods came to the rescue and helped out (kudos) however, this
Hang 'em jury that lurks here is at times rather pathetic. Almost makes me think that more guys work for books then I'd imagined

***Just read above post which appeared at same time as this one.
HOW does ANYONE here condone ANY of this activity? Confiscation under their sandlot rulebook is pure thievery. I am certain that it won't be as large an issue until it happens to some of the "protectors" of these rulebooks here at the Rx, but I am speaking now. It isn't the first occurrence I have heard about either!
Best start standing up against this before it gets out of hand.

This was not a bonus scam! Maybe if it was a different book fine, but claiming a bonus scam with ewinner will not fly. I guess I was able to scam with just ONE name! This is from their bonus section:

Best Bonuses in the Industry! Period!
Current Bonuses:

All initial deposits over $100 get a 20% bonus to a maximum of $4000.
All recurring deposits over $100 will get a 20% bonus on the first $2500 deposited, and a 10% bonus on the remaining amount if transferring funds via Neteller, Firepay, Western Union, or Bank Wire.

Yes you are reading that right 20% on initial and 20% on reloads, I took advantage of this offer multiple times with just ONE name. These people really screwed up by using multiple names at this place, when there was really no need!

PAY THESE PEOPLE WHAT YOU GUYS OFFERED!!

but this was not a bonus scam just multiple accounts and i say if they prove ids for each account holder case closed!
