wow, just got a nice dose of "the major's site", now i see what some of you mean....

i made the mistake of posting at both places, thinking that there was nothing wrong with this.....what would be the problem, two sites that want traffic, they should be glad to have the posters, no matter where from....

WRONG

i had entered the madame x memorial tournament for nfl (nowhere in the rules did it say that if u post at the rx, you are not welcome to enter, and the winners have already been decided) so i thougth it was open to enter...

unfortunately for me, i did well the first two weeks and was near the top of the leaderboard.....i put my plays in last week, just like i always did, got the confirmation screen, just like always, and AMAZINGLY, when the standings came out,i had no plays in for that week......ok thats fine, im sure its just a glitch in the software, so i click on the link at the contestmaster site, and send an email to ask them to look back and find my picks....i get back an email from someone saying that there has been some problems with the software ( i have the emails) and they will notify "the devil" and let him know.....i hear nothing back, so i email, back, hear nothing, i send another, hear nothing.....so finally after three days, i send a private message to the devil, i get a response, seems that he said he answered all emails, however i got none, but that was fine, things happen, i am told that i will get credit for the 7 plays i had made, no problem....we then decide to make a post in the contest thread just in case anyone questions why i got 7 more points than the board says, so i make the post like i am suppose to....Then today i get a very condescending message from "grandfather" telling me he deleted the thread, and that had it been up to him i would not get the points, and that HE IS IN CHARGE OF ALL CONTESTS even though the contest link sends you to someone else...and that EVERYTHING HAS TO GO THROUGH HIM, i guess that makes it easier when you are "losing" peoples picks....he also says that the thread makes it difficult for him because dishonest people may come in and say they didnt get credit...i told him, i run contests over here all the time, i understand, and that was the point of the post....also, that i had entered the SAME PICKS in the king of the hill contest every week as i did theres, if they wanted to verify...I also told him that since he said he didnt know me, that he could ask uncle b, peep, or any of the other former board meembers here that post there, that i believe they would vouch for my honesty...(now mind u those people are current posters at their site)....I then got back a smart-ass message telling me " not to throw around rx names, it dont fly with him, he dont give a crap, yada, yada, yada, i entered the contest, i read the rules, i am lucky i got the 7 games from the devil, i wouldnt have got them from him, and i better be quiet or he will take them away" like i'm a phukkin 2 year old or something......

so i basicallly in the most polite way, told him to shove his contest up his ass......

i now see why i read so much about people complaining over there, and things about them being associated with shady books, and such, hell, you arent welcome to win any contest there, thats for sure......

i now see why there contest prizes range from 250.00 to 300.00 for their contests....No Book would want to be affiliated with that rigged software that they use, and can use as an excuse to eliminate anyone that "grandfather" doesnt like.........

I have learned my lesson the hard way, and will post at THE PREMIERE SPORTSWAGERING SITE HERE AT THE RX, and not worry about the wannabe's that are so threatened by anyone from another site, that they have to threaten you to be quiet......

I will say one thing more too, since i used peep and uncle b's names in this thread...i have occasionally posted there also, and although i know they are not fond of the rx now, at least they arent threatened by us posting there, and arent cheaters..........

I know plenty of you post at both places, just let this be a warning to you.....

I guess when it comes to contests, i will just have to stay here and suffer through our numerous 500.00-10,000.00 contests, our 27,000.00 contests, and not be able to play for their season long 250.00 contests...

its a real shame too, anyone can search on the numerous threads about "the major's" place, and people bashing and such, or even when they are accused to majorbetting ripping people off, and i have NEVER ONCE said anything bad about their site, ever.......

and i get treated like an interloper going into the hallowed land...........

journey, let me clear something up, i was allowed to enter, just when my picks MYSTERIOUSLY didnt show up in the standings, i emailed them.....I WAS TOLD THEY HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE SOFTWARE....i have the email.....The Devil was being nice about it, its when this "grandfather" character got involved, and is just a little full of himself, that it got bad...i dont like to be talked down to, and told that his FUSE IS SHORT and such...and that if i say anything about this, HE WILL TAKE AWAY THE GAMES THAT DEVIL CREDITED ME...even though IT WAS THEIR SOFTWARE THAT PHUKKED UP........he then tells me not to throw any names around RX SHIT DONT FLY WITH HIM.....

Bucs, it really isn't as bad as you think, but I can give you a little insight.....

I know that Grandfather puts in an OBNOXIOUS number of hours trying to stay on top of all the contests, and he isn't the best at dealing with player complaints. Over time, you obviously got frustrated & things started getting heated. He does have a somewhat marginal level as to the amount of heat that he'll take over a contest.

Right or wrong, that's just the way that it is.

I'd like to see everything get straightened out & you back in the contest. If you ever had a motivation to win a contest....this should do it...lol.

He takes more offence to this, as his post above plainly spells out.

1. He didn't know who ran this contest even after I posted the rules and regs.(No problem here. 20+ messages to contestmaster is though)
2. He says we only mustered up $250.( In a fairly nasty PM to me...by the way. I am not sure it's biologicly possible to do what you suggest I do)

Like I told you in a PM....let's drop it and move on. Many folks donated their posting bonus money to this. And it means a lot to many folks here. You are always welcomed to play here. But don't be blowing smoke and throwing stones about something you shouldn't be.
You told me your on the board at Rx. You told me you run contests. You toss Rx names(Peep, Unc B etc) at me to verify how great a person you are. Then you should know rules are rules.
Honestly pal, I really don't care if you have been here for ages or some place else. I have to go by posted rules.

The poster he is refering to in the last line is me. In a daily pick 5 LMS contest I accidently put in picks twice, not just once but for 2 days that week. The grading guys treated it them as edited entrys and used the 2nd set of picks in the thread. One of the entries increased my score by one, and the other decreased it by 1. Since I had already missed a day that week I assumed I was out anyway, and it wasn't even going to matter.
