If they pay you, then go elsewhere. A 2 dollar or nickel limit is fine for most bettors.

Good luck

a 2 dollar limit is trash. IfI were ever cut that low I would leave IMMEDIATELY. I understand why books do it, "to each there own", I guess . I would never play at 1 of those books though.

Thats understandable valdosta. That is what has to be done, but it does not mean a book is bad IMO.

If that's what they have to do to stay in bussiness than so be it. In SOME people's eyes it does make them a bad book though. People like myself think lower of those type of books.

General:

Would you put a 2 dollar or nickle limit joint in your top 20 books?

Joey, could you name 20 books that won't cut your limits down?

Thanks

"A 2 dollar or nickel limit is fine for most bettors."

Call me an arrogant prick, but thats like saying Osetra will due when beluga can be had.

A nickel limit for me is perfectly fine. Osetra for you may be fine, for me its, not.

Cutting limits actually means the book is really strong financially and you should play there.

Would you rather them cut your limits or not be able to pay you when you steam rolled them playing high limits?

It is not a bad business plan.

The books that pay and cut are being good businessmen, without having so many worries. With so many books these days, it is a good starting idea too.

You must ask yourself why did they cut my limits?

1. Are you winning while betting line moves, screen black outs, steam moves.

2. Are you winning while betting on props, golf, nascar, tennis and/or other not so popular events.

3. Are you winning and not involved in situation 1 or 2 and just an overall good handicapper.

Now I can see a book lowering you limits based on situation 1 and/or 2 but a book that lowers your limits based on #3 is a flat out chicken shit scared book with no business being in the SB business.

Read the article regarding GRANDE now thats how a sportsbbok should be ran...Quote "You have these guys playing both sides," he said of 'middlers.' "But if you move the numbers, you'll find some 'wise' guys on one side and some 'wise' guys on the other side. You're looking just to be the middleman and collect the juice. That's what it's all about."

"We welcome all comers," Skip said. "We move the numbers accordingly and take action on both sides of the game. That's our philosophy."

I hope some sportsbook owners are out there reading this....Get your head out of your ass and start Focusing on managing your book and not your players!!!

Canbet-First I've ever heard of this

Intertops-Surprising, but I haven't played there in at least 3 years

SIA-NOT Surprising, but they seem to graciously show the door to most people after they win $10-20K. (Cut they off & pay them-not cut their limits)

Las Palmas-Tough to believe. I beat them out of at least 8 dimes over 2 months max on college foots-transfered most of it elsewhere for a better # here & there, and they never cut ANYTHING on me-and I was playing dimes.

MVP Sportsbook-Beat them for several dimes at a nickel a pop-never an issue

Royal-Depending on the day of the week, nothing would surprise me.

RPM....BetPanam apparently already nuked the 1 free WU per month(after 1 month). Who knows what's next.

Maybe cutting limits to $100 or $200 doesn't necessarily make a book "bad", but it does mean they are either lazy, greedy, incompetent, gutless, or some combination of those traits.

Why would you ever want to encourage or reward that style of bookmaking?

Give your business to shops that don't play the "we don't ever want any winners" game.

There are plenty of truly good books to choose from. Stick to them.
