More Canbet or is it CAN'Tbet!!!!

So I go to play the halftime of the Neb. game tonight at Can'tbet!!

I get a message that says,
"To place second half bets via the internet you must be located outside Australia. By law we are required to obtain proof that you are located outside Australia before enabling second half betting. Please email us
to have second half betting enabled. Once approved, when you are logged on the system will automatically allow you to place half time bets in the normal manner."

I get this message at 1/2 time of the Neb. game..

So I write Cantbet and blast them pretty good saying I don't know anything about this goofy rule.

Customer service informs me that I checked some form when I signed up about "micro" betting. Micro Betting, what in the hell is that???
In any case, that meant I understood that I can't bet halftimes until I produce some sort of identification.

Well who in the hell is gonna read one of those damn boxes? 1 out of 5000 new customers?

If they were doing things properly Canbet would clarify the halftime wager rule in some sort of email when they get a new customer!!
Not some checkbox that nobody reads!!!!

This Micro rule went into effect in 2001 and they don't have a clue to point this out to new customers until somebody clicks to make a 1/2 time bet???

As I told them four times tonight, I am one pissed off American customer!!!
One who now is gonna read the withdrawal rules to see if I need to fly over to get my money!!

You realise that they are still bound by Australian law regarding wagering on events that have already begun? In saying this, it is illegal for them to take a bet via the internet for a half time unless you have provided some ID.

Stupid Australian law, I am a bit surprised they are still following that but I suppose they probably have some licenses and interests in Oz to worry about. It is true though and for those that just got on with them in the last year or two, it used to be when you first signed up you had to give them ID regardless of where you were. I can't even remember when I signed up, but it was maybe 3 years ago and I had to fax a copy of my drivers license and credit card I used to sign up.
