Rank the playoff teams , give us your own odds, how would you rank them???

I`d have to favor the Giants as the odds on favorites to win it all...

1. SF Giants
2. NY Yankees
3. Boston Red Sox
4. Atlanta Braves
5. Oakland A`s
6. Chicago Cubs
7. Florida Marlins
8 Minnesota Twins

Boston and the Cubs! One would finally get off the hook....I wouldn`t mind the Giants winning it either....Oakland and Minnesota have been so hot that they are likely to have peaked before playoffs...Oakland has pulled this stunt for 3 years now, sizzling in August and September then coming up lame in the playoffs....I`d love to see a small market matchup, lol. How bout Oak vs Fla??? Or the Bud Selig dream match, Minn. vs Fla.LMAO

Giants look pretty attractive at 6-1 to win it all. Best mix of experience with good bullpen and just enough quality starters. They have dealt well with injuries and a lot of missed games by key players, especially Bonds, all season. The bitter loss last year should only make them stronger this year and this year no one will question if Bonds can get it done in the postseason.

Marlins is my personal pick for most value. The favorite will probably be Atlanta.

There really is no odds on favorite this year. It is very wide open 1 to 8. Flip a coin really. If the oddsmakers put high odds on any team it should probably be played. I doubt any of them will be more than 15-1 tops.

i know most won't agree, but i like the twins.
i think their chances are going to be greater
than the high odds ( assuming, i haven't seen
them yet)will indicate. in a short series, the
hot team sometimes will beat the better team.
the twins have won 13 of their last 14 ( i know
only vs det, clev, cws) but wins are wins.they also
have 2 hot pitchers in santana and radke with a deep
bullpen.

I don't think it is wide open, as far as establishing favorites go - at least as far as books are establishing the odds ... and I would have to think having the home field advantage has to count on the side of the AL teams - and obviously I'm not the only one (3 of the top 5 are AL teams) - here are Olympic's current WS odds:

NY +275
SF +500
ATL +500
BOS +600
OAK +600
CHI +700
FLA +850

I can't even imagine the Cubs and Red Sox--Wrigley and Fenway. The ultimate. The Billy Goat Sianis curse and the curse of the Bambino. You would just have to have Bill Buckner throw out the first ball.

Wood and Prior are on fire!

The Yankees will have to outscore their opponents, this is not the same Yanks who won all the World Series recently...

Oakland never seems to put it together in post season, they should have beat NY the first time around...

Fla is very interesting, I can`t see Atlanta, the pitching isn`t there...

The Twins are on fire but can they sustain another week of it? I doubt it...they will not go down easy Yanks in 5...

Boston is very tempting, this could be the year....Giants have the OMEN working for them as well as the most balanced team in the playoffs...

I feel it is a very competitive field this year with the difference between #1 and #8 very small. If Yanks are the favorite and Marlins are the longshot it's even closer than people realize.

My year in baseball is enough to make me think I am probably way off but I really like these Marlins.

People continue to write off and/ignore the Twins. With Gardenhire opting for a three man rotation allowing Milton and Rogers to head to the pen, the Twins are well equipped to compete. Defense, speed, hot starting pitching, an excellent deep pen and brimming with confidence. A dangerous longshot.

I would love to see the Cubs do it but don't think they have the heart.
