DAmn, it seems amazing that the rookie QB's used to sit on the bench for a couple of years before starting. These days they are thrown to the wolves right away.

RPM, I would guess the biggest reason is the signing bonus's (and contracts) these top guys get. How long can you let a 7 million dollar a year player sit on the bench?? They really should have a rookie cap like the NBA does so these guys wouldn't be rushed so much. It ruins careers.

Jax needs some playtime receivers, maybe when J Smith come back they might win a gam., On the otherhand he'll just get hurt again like usual. Leftwich will just be like Brunell this year, a big LOSER.

Brunell deserves better than the crappy team with a new coach anyways and its obvious he won't be in Jax next year. Might as well collect the nice check and get healthy, he will end up somewhere else and probably starting next season.

we have a ROOKIE qb making his first-ever start on the road

can we say "kyle boller" here

put me on the texans here - this is more a pick against the jags than on the texans

i'm sure someone will chime in here with an exact number - but ANYTIME i get the chance to bet against a rookie qb in his first-ever start (especially if it is on the road) i JUMP at it!
