John Madden, you took all the talk about over/under out of MNF

I remember last year's Raider Broncos game. Denver was driving for a meaningless last minute touchdown which would have put the game over the total. Al Michaels was ready to make some sly comment about it but John Madden cut him off.

Last night, Raiders were going for a last meaningless touchdown which would have put the game over the total. Al Michaels says nothing about it. I miss that.

I am glad the Raiders did not score because I had the under.

He is by far the worst announcer in MNF history. He's more eighties than Michael Jackson. Him and Summeral were a good match because it was an "I'm with drunk", "I'm with stupid" combination.

They should have kept Dennis Miller and added someone controversial but entertaining like Bill Walton.

John Madden doesn't have a CLUE about gambling. He's an idiot. You can see it on Michael's face he's not comfortable. Madden is holding him back because he is so slow, stupid and ignorant.

And I still haven't won an NFL fav and OVER in almost a year!

John Madden is one of the better announcers, Sam Wyche is my favorite.

id ratherlisten to wanye root do commentary than madden. that would be cool. I never liked madden as commentary but outside the game itself he does some cool things.

After 10 p.m.(game went until after 12) who do they think was watching that game other than a few Bronco fans? 24-0. Only bettors with interest in totals had yet to turn it off. Would like to see Nielsen do something on who was watching in 4th Q last night to see what % were gamblers. Never happen though as networks and sponsors don't want to know officially as they go to bank.

I have to agree with Dell~Dude, I guarantee you Madden doesn't have a clue about gambling. Yes, he know's many people bet on football games, but when it comes down to "knowing" the basics, etc. about gambling like all of us here, or even people that are just freakin "street" or "office" bettors, Madden has not idea about any of it. I can just about "bet" you he wouldn't have any idea what you were talking about if you said " 10 % juice"!

I was watching because I needed Gannon to have a decent game for fantasy and that bastard and his lousy receivers didn't deliver. One point loss, easily could have been a win if Jerry Rice, Mr. I Love Monday Night Football, doesn't drop a TD in the end zone on 4th down. I am a die-hard Broncos fan, why do I have to deal with the torture my partner gives me by taking Gannon as our QB????

I kept waiting for Michaels to say something like(after the int in endzone)"the celebration is UNDERway" What would it have hurt as non-gamblers, if any were still watching, would be oblivious to the comment. Maybe Al was on the over big and was too disgusted to comment after it looke so good after 21-0 1Q!

Brown and Rice drop TD passes in the 2nd half, yes they are showing their age! This team will have to make numerous changes before fielding a team next year! Yes, the Rice ball was tipped but 5 years ago he makes that catch and Brown's ball, I could have caught that one!
