party poker has NOTHING to do with big bet poker.

I have started to play pokerstars lately. That is where all of the big money players play. I dont play in the $1000 matches, but they have a quite a few players who play in the $300 ten person tournaments

Bigbet seems very un-busy. It did seem the same people often. I seen a prop about them throwing in some free cash here and there and I did see that as well. I just started at Party Poker.

I play at pokerstars - its pretty damn good. I like the setup more the party, and they get a good # of people in there.

Hache-

GreenDoberman has it right, check out pokerpulse, determine your priorites, try a few rooms and decide what works best for you. I've played at quite a few of the rooms and Party has almost all my action with a few sessions at Pokerstars every now and then.

In a poker room my priorities are: 1) game selection (number of games and type) 2) player competency and 3) software ease of use. Most reputable rooms rank similarly on deposit methods, payouts and such so those features are a non-factor for me.

Party is the industry's 800 lb. gorilla and with that comes positives (great game selection) and negatives (bad customer service). Fortunately, I've only needed customer service 2-3 times in the past year so it is almost a non factor for me.

BTW, re Bigbet, give them a try at a minimum to support the Rx.

I did not have a great experience there for a couple of reasons but a few others did enjoy playing there. The "splash pot" is overrated as it is chosen by the pokerroom manager and it just so happens that when there was an Rx "outing" there we were splashed 2x in less than 5 minutes. Most people would be happy about that but I saw it as bias on the part of the manager. What if you were at a different table that was not splashed but you obviously contribute to the rake just as much (if not more) than we at the Rx table did? (To BigBet's defense they never advertised that this was random.) Anyway..give them a try but I don't think I'm their target customer and they have little that appeals to me.

Frankly, similar to the sportsbook industry there are TOO many pokerrooms for all of them to survive. In order for a room to take a chunk of customers away from Party/Pokerstars/Paradise, it will have to offer something other than a generic online poker experience.

Dante-

Pokerstars is pretty good and the software is 100x better than Party IMHO. With that said, the games are not nearly as easy so be careful. Either the players there are much better or something about my game does not mix well with their software. (Most likely the former) I'm up only slightly there and it is a ****ing grind every time I play. The players are very tight. Their multi table tourneys cannot be beat so I throw a few bucks their way to play in them!!!

Dante-

You need to give me lessons. That's the problem, when I have a good hand those fvckers won't call me but somehow when I don't have a good had and I toss that 5 spot out there they call me to the river. If you don't mind, I'd like to observe you play once in a while. What's your handle at party? If you don't want to list it here and you don't mind me watching (with or without you knowing) you can email (delete the nospam) me at czechraizenospam@yahoo.com.

Swami...if I have A A and there are maybe 8 people at the table. I do not instantly RAISE ALL in like some of the dumb ****ers there do. I put in the .50 ante...If I get another A in the flop I go slow maybe call someone 1$ or even check ONE round. then on the river put in 3$ then ALL IN...I try not to spook everyone out by betting big at first I milk them

Dante, explain something to me please. I noticed, when watching people play Texas~Hold~Em at Party~Poker, that when the blinds go alllll the way around the table, some people will sit out when It's their turn to Ante up (at the larger tables). Anyhow, does the system STILL allow those players to stay at the table after they sit out those hands they are supposed to pay?! Sounds very unfair to me if that's the case.

Hache... After the blind has passed you , if there are 10 people at the table you do not have to "pay" to see your first 2 cards the next 8 times you can put yourself as OUT. n

Now if you do this as the blind comes to you to get back in adfte that you need to post your blind and a Deadblind also that way it stays fair, there is noone that is allowed to cheat the blind
