Brutal ump!!!

Roy Halliday hit ONE batter and gets tossed from the game. The guy is in a duel and going for a jays record and the ump tosses him for what was an unintentional HPB. That ump needs to check his head!

My thoughts exactly, no reason for him to get tossed, the under was cruising nicely till the ump tossed him and the bullpen is imploding. Ump just tossed a DRay player now as I type.

Being an umpire is one of the TOUGHEST jobs in America. You always have AT LEAST one side disagreeing with everything you do. I should know, I was a pro softball umpire in Detroit in the late 70s till 1981.

Max, I agree its tough, but to toss a pitcher who is locked in a 1-0 game and looking for his 22 win of the season because a pitch got away is pretty stupid. The ump has to use alitlle common sense. Anyways the Braves game has resumed so I'll switch the dish and catch that one now.

You're right C.M., but you obviously weren't watching this game. This was a no-brainer. Halliday did not deserve the boot. This is one of those situations that frustrate me so much....I hope this ump gets in some type of shit from MLB.
