A guy named "DannyMay" posted this on the Newbie forum. Anyone know him or able to validate his claims as a capper? Can someone watch these picks and let me know how it goes (I am a horseguy!) Here is his post to a guy who said he lost $3K betting as his "initiation"......

quote:
First off, I know I am going to get fried by this forum for what I am about to say here. I dont care. Let them make all the remarks they want because one week from now I will be the one saying I told you so.

Normally I agree you should not chase, but this is a rare opportunity. I have a play for you that WILL win. No doubt about it. It WILL win. You need to sell you car, you computer ( you can call the play in ), ask your parents for an advance on next semesters tuition, pawn everything you own. I am NOT KIDDING man. Your job is to get hold of all the money you can and quickly before these lines go down.

Put everything on this play

Monkey Teaser ( 13 points)

Kansas City NFL + 3 1/2
New York Giants NFL + 2 1/2
Buffalo NFL + 15 1/2
Bowling Green CF + 28 1/2

Bet everything you can on this teaser and you WILL get your $3000 back and then some. This is -120 most places, so if you can get hold of $12,000 you can win $10,000. Also not every book takes these plays, make sure they offer 13 points teasers before you send money. I would suggest TCBets. This place takes them, they are safe and offer a decent bonus.

This teaser WILL win. You heard me correct. It WILL win. Sell whatever you can by tonights kickoff and have this play in. I will come back next monday morning to bask in the glow of this winner.

Do it man - CARPE DIEM Man.

Any thoughts about this.

yes - anyone following those instructions to the letter need to get help for compulsive gambling based on advice from ANYONE telling them to bet a 4 game teaser by dumping as much cash as you can find on it.

secondly, I don't care if a burning bush told me to take this play, I'd put the bush out with a hose and tell it to calm down.

Third, and most importantly, if it seems too good to be true, IT IS

There is absolutely nothing guaranteed in sports - absolutely nothing. A guarantee that does not include putting up the guarantor's money in escrow, to pay off those who lose, is no real guarantee - it is only an opinion.

Bottom line - use your head.

Thanks Jazz,
I am well aware of your warnings and agree 100%. I just want you to know of some of the "advice" that us "newbies" are receiving on that board. This guy loses $3000 in a week at this and he gets advice like THAT!!!??? lmao
Right or wrong, it is bad advice.
Secondly, I STILL want someone to check his picks for me if you can

And you SHOULD read my response to him prior to asking you

thanks

In my time here I have never seen his name. I found it to be the most ridiculous suggestion to a guy who just lost his proverbial shirt. What says "chase your losses" better then that piece of advice!!??

cheers

LMFAO!!!

For the newbies reading this crap, never dump everything you have on 1 bet. That's a sure formula to get whacked. Remember there are no a absolute truths and that's specially true in sports. And as an advice, the best anybody can do when wagering is:

Bet flat.
Bet straight.
And never bet more than 2% of your bankroll.
And of course have a bankroll.

Peace

Who would I be "doing the favour"??

Regardless, WHY would anyone blindly take your advice? IF I was to give you 6 horses ,would you bet your life savings on them? Even If I said "100% no fail" like you did??
lmao
we all know the answer to that

Holy Sh*T,

I just went over to MW and guess what - BeanTown Jim has giving his play of the year.He says the Boys are gonna win outright. Now I am F*cking Scared about the Giants play.

Damn I have it all on the opposite side of BeanTown.Maybe the Boys will only win by 1 or 2. Otherwise, I am screwed already. Oh BeanTown, why didnt you tell me earlier.

P.S. Tom Green is coming to Muncie later this week.

Danny: why would I bother to dispute your pick? If you know me at all, you know I don't do any of that kind of thing.

I'm disputing your rationality by your giving someone new to betting, who just lost $3,000 and has to work for another month to make that up, the kind of 'advice' you dumped in the Newbies forum. That's why I posted there as well. Don't try to make this an 'I told You So' topic - it's not - you may well win. But I consider it a type of malicious post to purport to someone pretty desperate that this is 'guaranteed'. At first I thought you were joking - hell, maybe you ARE - but I'm now decently sure you're not.

That's too bad, Danny, though we've had a few disagreements politically (lol), I've respected most of what you've posted on sports and gambling ... until now.

Hell yes sds. I would gladly bet it all on your 6 plays. Can you give them to me next week ? I seem to have my life savings tied up until Sunday Night.SdsI know I will never hear the end of this if I lose 1 of these plays, you better be ready to tell me I was right. Off to watch the game now.

No Danny,
I am bigger than that.
This isn't about your picks, or "right or wrong", it is like Jazz said - it is about bad advice. Very off the cuff to a guy who COULD be rather shaken up and desperate right now. I thought that it was simply a poor judgement call on your part. Incidentally, I HOPE you do win......I never wish anything bad on fellow gamblers

Kelly criteria is garbage, you still go broke just takes longer, good strategy is to make a score and get out, spend the dough on something, and then make another score, if you go broke with agressive play, go to work for awhile.

lol - you're a character, Bird, though I agree the Kelly Criteria is garbage - but betting aggressively (as per DM's recommendation) is 3 yards under the garbage dump.

I'm going to re-post my original post, because it bears re-reading after the Cowboys incredibly improbable victory over the Giants tonight ...
