Is Greg Williams the worst coach in the NFL?

2nd and 7 from the 13 and he does a HB pass? Not even a sweep/ HB option .. an off tackle belly that the RB is supposed to step back and throw??

Horrible, horrible call.

Last week with a 14-0 lead and all the momentum he runs some crazy 3 man line fake punt from his own 40 (the Jags stuffed, and promptly hit for a TD to get back in it for a bit).

Good team/ horrible coach. I still think they'll win the division, but you cannot make a serious run with the coaching staff calling idiotic plays. A trick is one thing, but stupidity is another.

btw - I'm not saying it would have mattered in the end result as the Phins were by far the better team tonight, but sooner or later stuff like this will bite you in the ass & cost you a close one.

yes. the offense was shut out and points were hard to come by. he coached the game like he was playing the jets. they took very unnecessary gambles in a very close game.

Williams is an idiot. He does'nt challenge a Bills interception because the ref called it incomplete. Replays showed it was a catch. He lucked out because two plays later the Bills picked off a pass and ran it in.

LOL, good point Bill. But it's only because Rob Johnson isn't around that Williams isn't goofing up the QB slot either.

I'm not sold on Mariucci either. Down 13-10 with 1 minute left in the 1st half. It's 3rd and 11 from the 36 with Joey Harrington on the bench (injured the PREVIOUS play). What do you do? I'd run it up the gut for a few yards (even a draw or a shuffle pass might be an option). The reason being your backup A. stinks and B. is rusty. The lions could have run the clock down to under 30 seconds & tried a long 40+ FG, BUT NO ...

not, Marriucci, he has the backup drop back & gets sacked ... now they have to punt & BOOM the Vikes go 70 some yards for a FG as the half runs down. Instead of having the momentum with a 13-13 tie at the half, he killed any momentum the lowly Lions had and desperately needed and goes in down 16-10.

Yes he is horrible that's why he has no contract past this season. I believe the interception was not a reviewable play. And they don't have a running game. Henry is still upset about the Bill's taking McGahee and wants out.

I've never been sold on Dennis Erickson. He has inherited some pretty good teams (SF) and programs (Miami) in the past.

did not know greg williams made that play call. I thought Gilbride does that kind of stuff.

Henry underthrew the ball. If he throws it to the back of the endzone it would of been as easy 6 and the guy is a genius.

That Bledsoe INT hurt the most though.

I don't know who called it, but Williams said he blew the call last week, & he said that he's been working on this play for weeks ... certainly he was aware.

Even if it score a TD it's still a TERRIBLE call. Why? Because you can still run a trick play, but off the sweep right with HB option .... it gives Henry more time/space and the ability to take it upfield ...

Bledsoe could barely complete a pass ... how do you expect Henry to when he's going backwards???

Apparently Gilbride thought the same thing about Bledsoe yesterday and thought he would give Henry a shot at it.

Good point though. Most HB passes are off of the sweep. would of given him more time. He seemed rushed into that throw
