America TAB Accuses eHorse of Pirating Racing Signals
Thursday, September 11 2003

America TAB, an account-wagering service whose majority owners are Beulah Park and River Downs in Ohio, plans to pursue legal action against eHorse (betehorse.com), an online betting service that has allegedly been pirating live racing signals from its web site. Technicians at America TAB, which offers live video for 16 tracks, discovered its system had been infiltrated when it was upgraded the week of September 1. There is no contact information on eHorse's site, yet the site claims it can accept bets from residents in all 50 states and that it does not file reports with the Internal Revenue Service. "The offshore industry is trying to make a quick buck," says Mike Weiss, general manager of Beulah Park and America TAB. "We're going to take this further. We're going as far as we can with this...We have our video, which is approved through all the racetracks in the United States, and they're pirating our signal and using it through their own platform. We're not backing down from an offshore company that is not only stealing from us, but from every racetrack in the country."

TIGER - there are many horse sites that broadcast live horse races, but I'm not sure if they are pulling those feeds from the tracks sites without paying for them.

If the U.S. tracks are going to start cracking down on these sites then the time has come for sites like Ehorse to start paying for the service.

Otherwise it's just another BLACK MARK on this offshore industry, that is painting a picture to the U.S. public that offshore operators are thieves and pirates. Not good for the future of this industry.

There are companies that can supply these feeds LEGALLY for a fee. www.spw.com

Come on eHorse cough up the fee and let's get LEGIT

But as far as I know , if you bet with them you can see live races, with no extra charge (eventually you end up covering that charge with your loses..)

Hilarious.

IB man really stick to stuff that is in your area of expertise whatever that is,

the signals were never pirated, you can't steal something that is free, this is a joke. the signals were free to any human on earth that signed up for a brisbet account, active or not.

The statement is ludicrous grandstanding.

Sodium Pentethol V - you don't have fuking CLUE do you?

What may be free to the general PUBLIC is NOT free to a commercial website.

Many of us are well aware that many Sportbook sites pirate streaming video from the tracks website. For this industry to go legit in the future this will have to STOP and books will just have to pay a small fee for the feeds. Se the link above for a company that provides this.

SPV - You're the one that Hilarious DUDE. LOL
