One final tip of the hat to John Ritter!

The ABC Special tonight was a good watch and very sad, this man was loved by everyone he came in contact with....One thing I did not know, John Ritter`s wife Amy Yasbeck I once drove her around Baltimore in a Limo years ago...I had no idea he married her....But getting back to John Ritter, the cast of his show really loved the guy, and all his good friends, Henry Winkler, a brilliant tribute to him,Dana Carvey, Larry (from 3`s Co.) they all idolized his comedic brilliance...

I know after someone dies alot of times they`re put on a pedastal higher than when they were alive...Not the case here, more that his greatest moments were 25 years ago! Still crack up at 3`s company....

I am so freaking out now and very upset. I had it written down on my agenda all day today to watch or tape this show on ABC. Then I find out I'm going to the Spos game, and completely forget to tape it. I am so upset now because I loved the Rit, and I missed this.. Although being at that spos game was great. One of the best games of the year seeing them come back in the bottom of the ninth to tie it, then win it in the bottom of the 10th. What a way to end baseball for me. What a great night, but at the same time, I missed my buddy Jonathan tonight on ABC. I certainly hope this show going to be repeated again. I can't believe i missed it..

When you said you were going to the game.... I thought, damn Sick will miss the John Ritter Tribute, then when I saw the Expos WON I figured you must have enjoyed that last hurrah!
It was worth watching, they chronicled his last day on the set and what all the castmates were thinking and doing during his last day....He even had a final interview that he taped that day( they showed that too) He seemed happy and witty as ever...Very sad just listening to every tell how it unfolded, Henry Winkler said it best!

Good post. I watched the ABC tribute as well and felt they did a very touching and moving tribute to a very special and talented man. You could tell by hearing his fellow actors and friends talk abot him that Ritter was a genuine nice and loving man. soembody mentioned that in the studio lot he would park hs car with the rest of the crew and not in the privelaged parking set aside for him and other actors.Just goes to show that he never let the fame get to him.

Before the Rit died, I used to always say to myself when watching Three's Company how this is the nicest guy I had ever seen. Just watch that show and you will see what kind of guy he was. He was so nice to everyone, and so lovable. .You couldn't hate this guy, IMPOSSIBLE. Everyone loved him on the set, and everyone else in their living room who watched him, loved him. He was all heart, and never thought of himself better than anyone. Signed autographs for everyone, helped people, and was very giving. He always had time for everyone..It's always the nicest people that die.. He was so talented and so funny too. I couldn't believe how for 20 years, he disappeared from TV, as this great man should have had his own tv show. I am so happy that he got to make a comeback and people got to see him again just before he died. At least he died happy. He will be sadly missed good ol Jacky Tripper.

I wanted to see this show so badly yesterday on ABC at 8pm est about him, and what upsets me the most is that I came back from the Spos game at 1110 pm est, which means that the show had just started on ABC West at 11pm and I could've have actually watched it, but I forgot, and instead, I ended up putting on a silly Seinfeld repeat, then watched a boring Jay Leno monologue. If only I had known that while i was watching this crap, my buddy and pal Johnny was on.

Sick- Atleast the Expos went out in style

The show was a tear jerker! Believe me, its a damn shame...I heard on the radio today , that John Ritter played the part of a man who died of the very same freak illness that killed him...An episode of Chicago Hope

I loved Ritter in "Slingblade" with Billy Bob Thornton. He was really funny in an older movie called "Remote Control" which will have you laughing your ass off if you haven't seen it. "Remote Control" can usually be found on VHS cassettes.

He sincerity came across in his work. Although I wasn't too familiar with his private life, I had the impression he was a hell of a nice guy.
