Was wondering what some of you use as a rule of thumb for hedges or middles. For example tonight I had the under 55 in the Toledo game.At the half I then took over 25 for a third of what I bet the game for.Is that too much/little?Also what about hedging say on a parlay with one game to go.Is there a percentage you use?

Hedging is overused in most situations by gamblers. If you have the best of it than no reason to get off any of it. Unless there is a bankroll concern or you have an opinion that encourages it I would be real careful here.

I have done it before but over the long haul you are costing yourself money if you aren't being very selective.

Ones own financial position must be taken into account somewhere along the line, but as Patrick mentioned above, overall you are better off in most cases to NOT hedge.
