What's your best scalp or best buy back you have ever had??

I don't bet real large amounts and I don't really scalp or buyback often. The only time I bought back a bet was on the following fight...

Sharmba Mitchell -125
Ben Tackie -115

was the open line. I put $625 on Mitchell( to win $500)figuring it was a steal. I can probably buy back around 30% of my bets by fightime but typically I won't do it because of arrogance I guess. Anyways, by fightime the line was.....

Sharmba Mitchell -425
Ben Tackie +325

I went ahead and put $300 on Tackie to win $975. Had I stuck with my original pick I would have won $500 but as it was I won $200. That was the best buyback/scalp I have ever had. I could buy back my fight this Friday also but **** it, I'll let it ride Anyways, what is everyone's best scalp or buyback?

In my old days I loved scalping the Caribbean books. I call it service. One is simply doing two books a favour. It was only till I discovered that my service was not very much appreciated that I stopped doing it. I now only take positions, however it occasionally happens that a price moves so much that I do think that the other side has value all over a sudden, then I have to buy back. Last time I saw this happening was on a Dutch football match NEC-PSV. The price opened up correctly PSV giving .5/1 goal, then moved to PSV giving 1 goal, which was too much, so I backed NEC, then it moved back all the way to PSV only giving .5 goal, which was too generous on PSV, so I backed them. The result I was looking for was PSV winning by 1 goal difference. They won 2-1, so that is probably why I remember that match too. In general I do not like these type of bets. I much prefer to bet one side and when that side starts winning big, then I can go and have a drink and when that side starts loosing big, I can do the same thing. When betting a middle, you always have to watch the match till the end or you will have left watching the match early, but always with a bad taste.

Valdosta-good topic. I would have to think about it. Nothing to write home about though.

Once made about $700 on a relatively complex scalp situation last year at a book to be unnamed on a college game's MOV (margin of victory). I happened to notice the odds on certain margins were pretty generous, bet them and covered at another book with an offset bet on the favorite spread. It took me half an hour to optimize it.

Apparently one does not even need to have a positive return on the scalp itself to still make money, as all the bonus money will cover. Fvck heh. I am working day and night on fundamental systems to find advantages, but being a ordinary prostitute seems to pay better!
