haven't played there since 1997. got four pre-recorded voice mails from them this week. the last one was today and it started with that one 70's song "still the one". then some guy (sounded like jim mcmahon) comes on and tells me how esb is "still the one" to take all my football action this season.

lmao

Man, this chop shop is amazing. Anyone who wagers with them must be wanting to give their money away.

Cannot believe they have not been ran off the planet by some group of people.

Same here Blue, did tons of business with them in the late 90's and they still have about $80.00 in an account of mine. When I tried to collect/wager with that they said my account was inactive.

Hard to believe ESB is still around.
I still loved their fantasy football props and fax sheets we used to send in.

You have a better chance hitting a 50 team parlay than being paid by these crooks.

Celaya, do you actively wager with them? Have you tried to collect? What happens?

Blue, whenever I hear of this place it makes my blood boil. I started gambling when they were one of the first places offshore. I was so stupid thinking that Pro Football Weekly would help me to collect my money and they told ESBN who I was and that faggot Dennis erased my account. They are scumbags. With the money they burnt my ass I could have bought a sweet ass car. Stay as far away from these guys as you can!!!

i have stayed far away for a long time. the problem is, they keep frickin' calling me! i have talked to the managers over there 4 times and begged them to stop calling me and sending me mail. i got married last year and my wife doesn't know about my "hobby". its kind of ironic that all the books i do business with never call or send mail but one i hate and haven't used in 6 years could get me busted.

those bastards have my ssn too because i used a credit card. how naive i was in the 90's.

Blue - that is funny. The one shop you hated the most might get you busted with the new wife. I have a buddy that has gambled actively since he met his future wife and she has no idea. Sheesh, thinks he's just a sportnut with the beeper and the bookcase of handicapping books. If he has a beer at 2PM she smells it before he gets out the garage but he has churned millions of dollars on bets over in the last 5 years and she doesn't see a thing.

that's funny patrick. actually, its getting harder and harder to keep it from her. i've considered telling her but i know she'd freak (even though i am up mid four figures since march of 2002 - the day i found this site). she views gambling as bad no matter if you win or not.

last night i had a play on the dodgers. they were up 4-0 in the 8th with gagne warming in the pen...done deal right? no. with 2 outs the dbacks score 5 runs and win. my mood shifted considerably and she's getting suspicious...

i just tell her i have the piece of crap reliever on my fantasy team and he just cost me some points in era.

Gave up on hiding it years ago Blue..i try to enlist the wife's help at times too, since i watch so much of the sports, she gets good opinions on the NFL from all of her watching, provides a nice give and take at times.

Interestingly though, back in 98 when i still played with ESB, i had a sheet of all my plays faxed to my job at the time, left that particular place not long after that. One of the HR people found the fax before i did and wondered what the hell it was LOL

brock...i remember those! faxing in parlay sheets and fantasy football props. you could even bet on the stock market.

the first payout i received was a check via fed ex. it had a cigar in the package so i could smoke while counting my winnings and feel like a bigshot.

absolutely...though if you didn't have enough cash in the bank to cover the "foreign" check, it could take some time to clear..

I got around that one by actually using my folks bank account, which always had more than a few grand in it, to cash the check for cash and then deposit it in my bank account..no delays.
