A few of my thoughts that might aid you in disputing a suspect book's bullshit, in the event it happens, when you open a new account: until you are completely satisfied that a book is on the up and up, do the following (I'm not going to discuss why you're playing at a book that you'd need to do this - you're an adult, this is advice if you play at a book you may have concerns about) ...

1 - confirm everything that they tell you, ESPECIALLY CONCERNING BONUSES, via email - it is much harder for a book to dispute their own words

2 - every book I've ever played at gives some kind of confirmation screen or message concerning your bet - until you're absolutely convinced the book will honor your bets, ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS use the 'cut and paste' facility to cut all of your bets (text-wise) into a Word document that you name accordingly ... if you're playing at the EVERYONES-A-WINNER book, name your Word document EVERYONES-A-WINNER_2003-09-09.doc, always changing the last part to the correct date. Create a folder to store these documents specifically for this book. During the day, if you have more than one bet, simply add it to the document and save it - make sure a timestamp from the book is saved with it, and note the time yourself by typing it in if you need to, to be sure the book does not try to claim that you past-posted it

3 - when you have a dispute with the book, be calm and act with honor - it may be that they simply made an honest mistake. The worst possible move on your part is to scream and yell and call them crooks - for after all, you may be quite wrong.

4 - if you are not wrong, ask to speak with or have email contact with a manager. Explain reasonably why you are correct - supply your documentation as proof. Allow them a reasonable amount of time to respond.

5 - if your dispute is going nowhere, contact various people to request aid, and since this is the Rx, asking them for help would be a smart move. Do NOT immediately run here and ask for help if you haven't bothered to try to work this out with the book - good books deserve a chance to work it out and bad books will get exposed anyway

6 - remember the fact that you CHOSE to play at a suspect book - if you didn't know they were at first, blame yourself for not doing due diligence by checking and also asking for help in the forums. If you joined the book first and then discovered the forums, as newbies will, then you're cut some slack on this one

GL, and safe hunting

Jazz,
I like your advice. All I have ever done is write down on paper the wager, because I don't know how to cut and paste. (Ashamed to say that but it's true).
Can you give me step by step directions for doing it or possible a link that will show me.
I have windows 98se and the cut and paste options are available.
